Of course this is the Murdoch's NY Post, and "no relief" emphasized within days of mamdani action against. Such a broken reality we live in.

Battle? What fucking battle are you on about? You think we get to fight back by not eating or something?

[-] GardenGeek@europe.pub 1 points 8 hours ago

Have you said 'Thank you!' once?

[-] OldChicoAle@lemmy.world 22 points 17 hours ago

I wish he had gone blind while staring at the eclipse.

[-] P1nkman@lemmy.world 8 points 14 hours ago

I wish he would just fucking die. Every day I hope the same, and every day, he finds a way to shit on the entire global popular. Can't the rest of the world just do a little special operation, like they did in Venezuela?

Lets say he did die. Then what?
Different pointless clown will take his place.

Sure, he might be the ugly face of the government and people, but the government will still be there. Along with the people that voted him and said government.

I would say he's more of a symptom than a cause.

[-] lemmyng@lemmy.world 5 points 18 hours ago

He might have, but he also has access to the top medical facilities who could cure him as far as we know.

[-] abrake@lemmy.world 5 points 17 hours ago

One unusual piece of Trump-lore is that he has really bad vision but hates the way that he looks in glasses. Maybe he wears contacts in public, or maybe he isn't able to do so for some reason. But occasionally photographers get a shot of him wearing glasses.

[-] frongt@lemmy.zip 1 points 16 hours ago

I doubt he could handle contacts.

He usually avoids wearing his reading glasses in public, and during speeches he uses a teleprompter or TV with really big text:
https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/2026/07/16/white-house-teleprompter-operator-placed-leave-after-betting-trump-speeches/
https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/meet-the-press/trump-s-teleprompter-temperament-isn-t-message-what-comes-next-n1039551

But once in a long while he does actually wear his glasses in public, like when he has to read something not printed in big text: https://metro.co.uk/2025/06/30/donald-trump-caught-wearing-reading-glasses-rare-moment-23546519/

Probably because it makes him look older. And he's 80.

[-] lemmyng@lemmy.world 1 points 17 hours ago

He was also seen wearing glasses when reading a briefing during his hospitalization during COVID.

[-] nullspace@lemmy.world 1 points 9 hours ago

Trump's trying to beat all his Covid records.

[-] randompasta@lemmy.today 32 points 20 hours ago

Mostly profit driven increases.

[-] The_v@lemmy.world 9 points 16 hours ago

Profit driven increases from unregulated market consolidation combined with interruptions in the supply chain due to disruptions in trade networks by the orange moron and pals dumbfukery.

Assholes are getting richer by starving kids.

[-] allmyhomieshatespez@lemmy.world 4 points 14 hours ago

nypost? this is not a serious website

[-] 1egg4u@lemmy.world 4 points 15 hours ago

It's the same in Canada and has gotten completely out of control... I always knew climate change would drive food scarcity and higher prices on crops that cant withstand inclement weather but the greedflation tacked on has been a nasty surprise. Portions get smaller and smaller, prices climb. Inflation never ends yet profit goes up every year.

So it's not just my family. Our grocery bills have doubled over the last 5 years.
