She complains about the app taking up to 1GB, which includes videos taken? She has 128GB storage and had to clear other things from her device? Dang lady, start offloading your stuff more often. The app takes less than 1% of your entire storage capacity.

I think this person is an idiot and therefore the exact right target demographic for this garbage product

Why "even?" Even after struggling with privacy concerns you don't think they're the future of wearables. Shouldn't that be "because of?" Normally, privacy concerns aren't a big plus point. I didn't want to buy this hypothetical device but after learning all the data goes directly to an unencrypted database on an open server in the cloud, I was all in?

TL;Dr because of this dumb premise that is the first sentence:

As someone who is largely (if not always) inseparable from my iPhone's camera, the desire to test out Meta's elusive AI glasses was a natural next step.

If that's your natural next step, your opinion doesn't matter to me.

The wording really doesn't make sense. I interpreted that sentence as sloppy wording intending to mean "even if they didn't have the privacy issues I'm not sure they'd be the future the future of wearables. "

They meant "even if we ignore privacy concerns" because most people already do.

If this wasn't clear before... People. Don't. Care.

The majority of people do not give a shit that their 55" TV is subsidized from $1000 down to 300 or 400 because they are the the product. Or about phones and phone apps.

And go ask people if they even know about meta glasses. Most don't.

Her selfish and narcissistic desire be relevant by wearing the glasses to influence let’s me form an opinion on her.

What a self absorbed dick.

[-] RodgeGrabTheCat@sh.itjust.works 5 points 17 hours ago

No one who has privacy concerns is going to wear these.

"Privacy concerns were rife from the start". Really? The fact these are a Meta product didn't inform you of this fact?
