Don't feel guilty for your success. Congrats!
Glad to hear it and congratulations!
You must watch the obligatory forklift safety video hosted by Klaus:
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=TJYOkZz6Dck
And you’ll also need to learn how to pick up a dime with the forklift. I’ve won money with that trick.
I've seen this one before, but for my forklift certification, they showed us actual accidents. A fully extended forklift toppling over with someone in the cage, a diesel forklift running over someone and the driver not even noticing, people knocking over warehouse racking, etc
After the certification training my colleague referred to this as the "forklift snuff film".
Dude, I said the exact same thing when I watched the video I had to watch. It was comical how intense the scenes and scenarios were watching these poorly made manikins get mauled over and over.
Will definitely watch when I get off work!
You won't be disappointed
Man i used to work with a guy like Klaus and we would call him Klaus and he had no idea why.
oh dear me
Like your father before you?

Fork yeah!
Wooaaa congrats Ooopsi daisy we will have to kick you out of this sub, this is too cool to be dull
Nooooooo but I like boring guy things! Lol. I honestly had no idea this would get such a positive reception.
Wrong sub! That’s not dull at all! I’m honestly jealous, I’ve always wanted to operate those things but I’m not in an industry that ever uses heavy loaders.
Before you go around driving a forklift with that new certification, you should spend some time on the forklift simulator
Welcome to the forklift driver club. You will need to bring your own beanie and provide your own (copious) energy drinks.
I'm a backwards hat kinda fella. I think those of the beanie might still accept me! That or maybe its time to get a beanie and bad attitude of my own.
Women want to fear you, fish will be you, men want to be with you. Use this power responsibly.
Also: not dull.
WTF man, we need more details. What model/brand, power source?
I personally enjoyed a standing Crown RC battery powered with a clamp. Squeezing toilet paper. We used to fight over those trucks. Unfortunately standing sideways on the fork was literally a pain in the neck by the end of the day.
Then sit down propane ones like the Toyota's or Hysters are much more comfortable but not as nimble.
I worked lumber yards before I started construction. Used to drive the big diesel's, those were a blast. Coworker of mine worked with them in the navy. I think on aircraft Carrier if I remember right. Always thought that would be crazy working on a moving platform. Never used a stand up one. They look like fun in the big box stores like lowes.
Later in construction I used Gradall 534C's. They are a blast,.crabcrawl, hydraulic tilt leveling for uneven terrain and something like 40' boom length. Never had an accedent but I have been teetering on the front wheels once with a heavy load extended too far. Had one stuck in the mud working in the middle of nowhere once, not easy to get stuck and even harder to get unstuck.
We have x2 battery powered Cat EC25N's. Up until last week, I'd never even sat a buttcheek one in anything like it but I'm getting the hang of it quickly. I unloaded a full semi trailer just a bit ago to get some practice in even tho that's the shipping crew's job. They know I'm looking to get some practice in and they're doing a great job of letting me get my feet wet.
Congrats!
Welcome to the club, had mine for some 15 years but been driving them on or off since '94
So for 17 years you did it legally, I'm calling OSHA
Unless you can prove you're Klaus
Didn't know you had to be licensed to fork.
Oh man, I envy you.
Is that different than a forklift?
Hell yeah. With great power comes great responsibility. I loved my time on a forklift
I really miss driving forklift.
My old supervisor used to make fun of me because I loved driving it, he said it was stupid and any idiot could do it. I came into work one morning and he had tried forking a pallet off a shelf, he ended up knocking the shelf behind him over. I used the forklift to right everything again. Owner of the company put me in charge of the forklift after that.
Is your name Ryo Hazuki by any chance?
Haha, not dull at all! You're out there making the workplace more bearable and making more $$.
