The Pitt as always. It's a must watch.

Matlock (2024) - I am really enjoying it. Fun show and Kathy Bates is killing it.
Also glad to see Jason Ritter as I haven't seen him in anything since "Kevin (Probably) Saves the World". (Sidenote I thought he would have been perfect for the role of Nathan in "Upload" but Robbie Amell grew on me)

Finally watched all of Fallout season 2 last week or so- so glad I waited to binge it.

Scrubs (2026). Minus a few missing characters it feels like the original run.

Monarch: Legacy of Monsters - the biggest problem I have with it is the split storylines. Everytime I start getting into the story it swaps to the other storyline.

Rooster - I enjoyed the 1st episode. (And a nice surprise - John C. McGinley is in it) Hopefully the goodness continues.

Shrinking - this is another must watch for me.

Paradise - I loved the 1st season and season 2 is good so far.

Ghosts (U.S.) fun but episodes are a little too short at times.

Marshals - meh. It felt too stiff. Would probably be better as it's own show and not a spinoff of "Yellowstone"

Starfleet Academy. Rough at times but I'll watch Season 2. Really wish Paul Giamatti was in it more though. He stole every scene he was in.

The pitt. Awesome as always. I'm glad they found a less dramatic catastrophe than last year. It was great don't get me wrong, but so many shows feel the need to always escalate, I'm glad they went another direction. Really sink into the day to day stuff.

Downton Abbey. It's a soap opera, but worth watching for the wardrobe and settings alone. I need to get me an English tailored suit. Well done period piece. My only gripe is too many camera cuts, and the music is a bit much. Sometimes less is more.

Calling Downton Abbey a soap opera is pretty uncharitable. Soap opera implies melodrama - stereotypical characters and long, drawn out, unsubtle plots. Downton is written and acted far too well to be a soap opera IMO.

It's well done and acted for sure.

But stereotypical characters? I mean you've grand ladies, a stodgy dowager countess, a stodgier butler, scheming servants. There'snot a single character that doesn't fit a stereotype.

And as for long drawn out unsubtle plots? That's all the show is.

I'm digging it don't get me wrong, but it's definitely a soap opera

Still watching new episodes of AEW Dynamite and the Pitt, will probably watch the ppv on Sunday. Other than that TV wise lately I had some old SpongeBob episodes playing while working (imitation crab with the robot and the one where they're painting are great) and watched some of the newer it's always sunny and while I think they can still hit some good comedy & parody some of the bits they do now at 40-50 land differently than in their 20-30s.

Recommendations: old SpongeBob, old it's always sunny in Philadelphia, new BBC Asia nature doc series
