If I had to narrow it down to a specific set of all those suggested here, I'd say:

bc idk if there's any benefit to linking to all the dead/dormant redundant communities... but it's not a big deal to me either way lel.

I've read that in some cases you need an account on the same instance as the community, to do certain mod actions. (i.e. you might need to make an account on lemmy.world and give it mod status).
