I realized recently that stupid people have been weaponized. They all watch and listen to the same stuff and since they don’t have critical thinking skills, they are all a loud circle jerk in an echo chamber.
One of the new tricks Trump's DHS has been pulling is to embed right-wing journalists behind the ICE goons busting through major city centers.
Even setting aside the deluge of AI slop, there's a ton of staged photography and engineered content intended to shape public perceptions. As more of the national news media gets gobbled up by right-wing tech billionaires, we're going to see news coverage sync up with the photo-ops and public opinion bend with the propaganda.
Find independent journalists in your area and support them. Keep your ears clean and your eyes clear. As we run up into the next election media cycle, the sold-out mass media is going to lay this shit on thick.

Apparently there were 2 similar incidents, one shot and tear gassed, according to ACLU: Pastor David Black of the First Presbyterian Church of Chicago in the Woodlawn neighborhood, whose peaceful, free expression of his religion has led to his being shot repeatedly in the head with near-lethal projectiles and sprayed in the face with tear gas.
For the second one, I can't find any media outlets covering it to link a news article, but there's a photo circling showing a man with a clerical collar being pepper sprayed.
At this point someone needs to make the obvious church schism official and slap a new name on them. Would be mildly interesting to see how these people reacted to being branded official heretics and told to take their ball and go home.
