I remember seeing that movie with friends in a theater. It was sooo hard to get them to agree to see it because of the 3 hour runtime.

Otherwise we had a blast.

I genuinely thought that film was supposed be, well not bad, but a selfish indulgence. Like we weren't supposed to like it, he just decided had the money and opportunity to make something that only appeals to him and we could watch it if we want. It's like he got the aux cable on a road trip and decided to put on industrial drone music.

It’s so good but it has to be watched with Planet Terror for the full Grindhouse experience.
