When aren't they having a meltdown for the stupidest things?

[-] TheMadCodger@piefed.social 66 points 2 months ago

For such a "tough guy" culture, it's amazing how they live in such constant fear of… everything.

Pretty much always.

The media continually paint them as having a meltdown, but in reality it’s their state of being; the reactionary hate is where they live.

If you hear “ does and the far right say they’re OK with that….” be VERY concerned about whatever was.

Its almost like they are masking their brittle nature with false bravado, trucks and guns...

🤨

[-] ToastedRavioli@midwest.social 123 points 2 months ago

Inb4 they say its unamerican to have a Puerto Rican do the super bowl halftime show, because theyre too stupid to realize that Puerto Ricans are Americans

[-] SayJess 89 points 2 months ago

Guaranteed the far-right does not see them as Americans.

[-] Cethin@lemmy.zip 20 points 2 months ago

Our dumb fuck president didn't know he was the president of Puerto Rico last time. I think most of them don't even know it exists to have an opinion on them being American or not.

[-] Gates9@sh.itjust.works 98 points 2 months ago

It’s not the NFL’s fault country music sucks

[-] CharlesDarwin@lemmy.world 48 points 2 months ago

The right wing are such tender little soy boys.

[-] CoopaLoopa@lemmy.dbzer0.com 25 points 2 months ago

About to have a lot more soy in their diet now that they have $12 billion USD worth of soybeans that China isn't going to purchase.

[-] grrgyle@slrpnk.net 8 points 2 months ago

Something tells me soy is about to get a real big brand facelift soon

Don't dis soy like that

[-] MagicShel@lemmy.zip 46 points 2 months ago

I have no idea who bad bunny is. But I also have no idea who is in the superbowl. I just hope the commercials are good.

[-] SpaceNoodle@lemmy.world 50 points 2 months ago

I think it's Football this year

[-] ceenote@lemmy.world 25 points 2 months ago

Football? That's one of the sports of all time!

[-] WhatAmLemmy@lemmy.world 8 points 2 months ago

Out of all the sports, it's certainly one of them.

[-] Treczoks@lemmy.world 11 points 2 months ago

I don't think so, I've seen them carrying the not-ball in their hands. So it is neither foot nor ball.

[-] dhork@lemmy.world 7 points 2 months ago

We won't know who plays for a few months, but we definitely know a few teams who won't be there, like the Jets

One of the biggest artists on the planet. Though he only sings in Spanish

His latest album is an impressive work of art; a love letter to Puerto Rico.

It might not be everyone’s jam.

Right winger = perpetual meltdown

Maybe society can figure out how to harness all that perpetual negative energy to make something good. Something like churros.

And yet Spanish speaking voters are still erect for Trump.

[-] dhork@lemmy.world 24 points 2 months ago

Maybe not anymore, a few polls have shown reduced support for Trump among Hispanics, probably because his goons assume they are illegal because they're brown.

We tried to warn them....

[-] Psythik@lemmy.world 10 points 2 months ago* (last edited 2 months ago)

Try telling that to my half Mexican brother and his Mexican wife. If anything, their positive opinion of Trump has gone through the roof. They love seeing the "pisas" get deported.

They don't seem to realize that they're next once ICE runs out of easy targets.

My polls show increased support because they think the bad browns will be kicked out and not them, the good browns.

I CANT Wait for our SMALL GOVERNMENT to Threaten the NFL if they Dont Change Artists!

[-] Almacca@aussie.zone 22 points 2 months ago

Those dickheads really do have some fucked up priorities, don't they. The county's on the brink of full fascism, and they 'melt down' over the most inconsequential bullshit.

[-] Treczoks@lemmy.world 20 points 2 months ago

They have to face so many disappointments lately. Several shooters that were not queer black illegal aliens, ICE removing their cheapest ~~slaves~~ employees, and now no country singer for the halftime show.

That is more than those snowflakes can stand.

Right wingers are the OG snowflakes

[-] BruisedMoose@piefed.social 14 points 2 months ago

I am an old person and really know nothing about him, but looking at the thumbnail, I do remember enjoying his hit song "Dick in a Box."

[-] kadaverin0@lemmy.dbzer0.com 11 points 2 months ago

Can we round up conservatives and put them in a rocket aimed at a black hole?

[-] BradleyUffner@lemmy.world 7 points 2 months ago

Why would you do that to a black hole?

[-] hanrahan@slrpnk.net 11 points 2 months ago

They should have gotten Springstien and Trump's head would have exploded.

I have no idea who this guy is, but if right wingers don't like him he's probably ok

[-] collapse_already@lemmy.ml 10 points 2 months ago

I hope Mr. Bunny has a great security team, because those fuckers are crazy and known to shoot people they fear.

Maybe they ought to listen to some Bad Bunny before they complain. My Spanish is terrible, but I still find his songs catchy.

[-] Microtonal_Banana@lemmy.zip 8 points 2 months ago

[-] FosterMolasses@leminal.space 7 points 2 months ago

I see Kendrick Lamar got the last helicopter out of Saigon.

It's gonna be more shit like this going forward. I don't know who in their right mind would agree to do a half-time show with the current state the country is in. It's like performing for the fuhrer in 1939.

Never heard of this guy until he hosted SNL. He was great and has a very good sense of humour. I liked him. Then, very recently, he showed up in Happy Gilmore 2 and again, he was great! I don't listen to new music anymore so I can't comment on that (I'm old and ignorant).
