I have two answers for you.

1: I have acne I'm too old for and gray hairs I'm too young for.

2: I have the depression of a millennial and the uninhibited madness of a zoomer.

My mum tried to ban me from watching South Park before South Park made fun of exactly that.

[-] Aggravationstation@feddit.uk 4 points 1 week ago* (last edited 1 week ago)

I wasn't banned from watching South Park when it started. Even my 3 -year-old at the time brother was allowed to watch it with me. But I was banned from watching Ren and Stimpy several years earlier which disappointed me at the time but in hindsight I support wholeheartedly.

Can vaguely remember the Berlin Wall falling. All the adults seemed to think it was really important.

I have a child old enough to vote

[-] Dicska@lemmy.world 7 points 1 week ago

In which god forsaken country are voting rights dependent on children's age?

[-] fushuan 5 points 1 week ago

Uh, most of the countries I know you need to be an adult to vote aka 18.

When I told my colleagues about my surprise when I found out The Scorpions were German, none, but none of them had any idea what band I was talking about.

Waiting for your favourite song to be played on the radio and pressing record and pause on the cassette recorder at the exact right time. Massive feelings of win.

[-] daniskarma@lemmy.dbzer0.com 5 points 1 week ago

I loved the star wars films that came out while I was a child, but the ones that were made after that are really bad.

I was there, at Cape Canaveral, in the audience, when Challenger exploded. I had just finished Jr. Space Camp, and decided that if stuff like that was gonna happen while I was around NASA, then maybe I should look for an alternative career path.

I vividly remember seeing a show on TV very young, in a hotel room. It just happened to be on. When I saw it again, older, I realized it was the TNG pilot.
