... eating ice cream directly from the pint.

It always destroys spoons eventually, might as well use ones too sharp, too tinny, too light, the wrong shape, or with just the wrong bend in them already.

Edit: for all the head scratchers out there, it's a trait some of us neurodivergent folks have. Some forks or spoons or whatever are nice to hold, and some are actually upsetting to use.

Before reading the justification, I thought the idea was that it would prevent you from eating the whole pint because the spoon is too uncomfy to put up with for more than a few scoops lol

I guess whichever happens first is a good enough reason to stop.

Agreed! :-)

Nope, destroys my enjoyment of the icecream.

The bad spoon drawer is only opened to get out the other things that live there, like the danger circle or the the melon baller or the bad tongs that it's okay to bring to a potluck because you don't care if they make it back to you.

LPT: bad spoons are kept next to the stove for tasting or dosing ingredients. We use a steel cup for easy access because you always need one in a hurry.

Lol the danger circle!

I don't exactly know what you mean by that but in our house we call it edge-lord McPizza-cutter

This? This isn't a bad spoon; it's a serving spoon.
Yes, there's a difference. It's the wrong shape and doesn't fit in my mouth.
No, I'm not being picky. You try eating with it!
Oh, you don't want a spoon that big? That is exactly my point, thank you.

Fancy having a whole drawer! Us regular folks only have one drawer for all spoons and we have to pick around for the good ones. Or if you pick a bad one, you throw it into the sink instead of putting it back when you realize. It subsequently sits for a week and a half before getting thrown in the dishwasher. And is then returned cleaner than it was to the drawer as the last time it was returned it had come directly from the sink as you mistakenly thought it was clean. Now, given it is the spoon on top, you are gauranteed to repeat the process again. If only you had another drawer...
