To hide the cost of renovating the plane Qatar donated to President Trump, the Air Force appears to have tucked it inside an over-budget, behind-schedule nuclear modernization program.

This plane goes with the Trump family in the end, calling it now. The new Air Force One model, VC-25B, has been in work for a long time. This new plane saves nothing. Boeing already has the two the USAF ordered. They have been in construction for years now. This new one would have to be stripped bare and built up considerably to reach the point the other two are at already.

I bet this one sits still for a while under the facade that it's going to be AF1, then quietly becomes his family's personal plane under the guise it'll save us money to fly them someplace once, twice, forever. Who's going to stop them anyway?

There was an article saying that they couldn’t even sell the plane for years. They’re just dumping their garbage and rump is eating it all up.

Trump attacks the fed Federal Reserve for renovation costs and I guarantee he'll spend more on this stupid fuckin plane.

Officially, and conveniently, the price tag has been classified. But even by Washington standards, where “black budgets” are often used as an excuse to avoid revealing the cost of outdated spy satellites and lavish end-of-year parties, the techniques being used to hide the cost of Mr. Trump’s pet project are inventive. Which may explain why no one wants to discuss a mysterious, $934 million transfer of funds from one of the Pentagon’s most over-budget, out-of-control projects — the modernization of America’s aging, ground-based nuclear missiles.

Probably the easy route of thought was "the plane will hold the Nuclear codes/football, therefore it falls under the Nuclear arsenal renewal budget"

By the time it is ready it won’t anymore, and the government will have more mics on that plane than Qatar did before they gave it to him.

They’re never going to find all the listening devices installed in this thing.
