Frankly, in this case I believe both sides... there clearly was instigation from Israeli hooligans and a strangely organized extreme response from muslim side.

But all in all it was a bit ..suspicious.. how fast both the media and Israeli government (even uncle Bibi) threw the word pogrom about.

What is lacking is anyone daring to make a fist and slam it on the table with the proclamation: "Enough of these transgressions! We stop them, prosecute and punish all of it now!"

But this had to have happened immediately in 2021, not the feet dragging and allowing court dates to shift 'till a few months before the election.

I refuse to believe that in case of clear criminal acts against the country of america the judiciary process can not be expedited and court calendars not be cleared for full convictions within a year.

I guess it's also part of why Trump was elected, he promised the common folk to be the one that slams his fist on the table in their name, alas he was hiding that it was purely for his own benefit.

In a way I am now settled with the thought that the US now gets what it deserves... Alas the downside is that the US ego will fling all that stinky business far out into the world and everyone is stuck with the effects that they did not choose.

All in all, it is a good bet Trump's presidency will expedite the downfall of the hegemony of US power and influence in the world, china and russia are rising up to lay their claim now.

A stranger looking up your, not publicly displayed, home adress and then showing up at your door, for whatever reason they think they have, is beyond suspicious.

Whatever happened after that is a different matter ofcourse.

... but why? Does it contain secret intelligence data? Nudes of the people attending the con in the movie? Why would I want these files?

And what are the "criminal attacks"?

This is all very vague and not in a way that gets my sympathy or further interest.

"Violation of the Logan Act is a felony, punishable with imprisonment for up to three years."

I can only say: Lock him up!

Not sure what kind of morals those are, but they definitely do not belong to a truely civilized society.

I read the title, and it left me thinking it was about Ukrainian POWs returned from Russia without their organs, like I read about recently.

It seems the US does not even need such circumstances.

Well this sounds a bit familiar...

Next step is adding a scoring system with penalties for certain behavior and it will be quite similar to the social system that is rolling out in China...

I've been gently pushing for the same message but at best hear people say "oh it's just politics, and we have laws against all this so it will be years before anything can truely change"

Hitler's power was solidified in a matter of months, whereby he threatened and/or had his political opposition killed. Then he came with the excuse "I don't believe my people did this"

No one dared say any of it was against the laws, he was fully above the law and shielded anyone he felt worthy of the same, ofcourse he would have them dissappear when their use ran out..

Trump could now argue he, as sitting president, was threatened in his functioning by the new president elect, and it was an official act to block the transfer of power as long as the sitting president has concerns about the validity of the votes. (Ofcourse he always has those concerns)

And now with the coming elections he will claim the same and as a bonus he officially and in the open has the republicans refuse to certify a losing vote because that also threatens his position and impedes his functioning.

If the lower courts now claim his acts were not official he will just appeal that back to the Supreme Court, thereby still delaying any closure of the case well after the elections.

Cancelation fees (and steep ones at that) on digital goods/"services" ... shows how far things sunk towards the lower hells.

They'll unseal them but all envelopes contain only an "I Owe You" from Trump, and under his signature he wrote in small font "I declassified them after I took them home"
