Yeah feddit.org is kind of a shitstain in that regard similar to .ml when it comes to China. It’s not like every user is like that but every now and then you read some brainrot and then you look at the user‘s instance and it just makes sense. Worst part is they are 1000% convinced they’re being the smart ones.

We call it "Staatsräson". When you say something against Israel, it also goes against the German state and for some people this is a bad thing. When you criticize Israel, you are an extremist like for example the organization „Jüdischen Stimme für gerechten Frieden im Nahost“ (Jewish voice for a just peace in the Middle East). That's the world we live in now.

The german state, which is currently descended from west germany, a country that had almost complete continuity from nazi germany?

I don't like the trend of stereotyping whole instances. Even if there is a trend to certain opinions, dismissing people based on the server they signed up on seems a bit presumptive.
