What system has you rolling to dodge critical strikes?
Maybe "critical strike" is not mechanical term, but more of a contextual one ? Like "if I take this blow, I'm out and my party needs an urgent action from me".
Could be. I'm not sure what games have defenders roll where a 10 is a questionable result. Such games exist.
But I think it's more likely the title was written by someone who's heard dnd terms and doesn't really play the game. It's got a "how do you do, fellow kids" feeling.
He was finally able to pass his saving throw for the laughter... just for it to be recast a turn or 2 later
Another comment in the shitjustworks post says it's camera trickery. The guy does a few of the more robotic pop'n'lock dances in a completely static background, not in public, and when he pops his chest out rapidly, the cord for his hoodie in this one video doesn't get moved as much as it would if he used the force necessary to move that fast. Like in some films where they speed up chase scenes, but a character with long hair isn't blowing in the wind from all the apparent speed...
I think it's speed ramping. https://youtu.be/6cM2p7GU7ng
