Well trans women are women and every woman enriches the tapestry of womanhood.

So yeah

[-] LadyButterfly@piefed.blahaj.zone 25 points 1 month ago

I love that!

[-] sixtoe 30 points 1 month ago

i aint enriching shit. sounds like work. pay me.

[-] LadyButterfly@piefed.blahaj.zone 11 points 1 month ago

Do you accept love and respect as payment?

[-] sixtoe 3 points 1 month ago

cant buy food or a place to sleep with love and respect. i give flavor to womanhood, no doubt. its just sour, bitter, gritty, and smells like durian. if that's enrichment, okay. however, i think most people are disgusted by a piece of shit in their platitude sandwich. i aint enriching womanhood, likely will never, and dont care to take on that burdensome expectation.

I'm hearing a lot of self criticism. We don't see you that way here ❤️

I would say some do, some don't, same as with other women. I get were the sentiment is coming from, but I'm always a bit cautious about putting pressure on people with things like that. There is no need to enrich anything to be welcome, just do your thing.

I think this is really interesting. Trans women have taught a lot of people that gender isn't binary, which can only be a good thing. They often have new perspectives are really helpful to our understanding of womanhood. So it's an interesting statement

Well, I'm a trans woman and I'm binary, so that's not all of us.

I'd give the nonbinary people the credit for that.

I think a lot of people realize that gender isn't fixed because of trans women. I think a lot of men realize it the first time they meet a trans woman they want to fuck.

Then they tend to go one of two ways.

That's a good point thanks

Being a woman, isn't the same as the gender binary. The gender binary is a system to force people to behave and perhaps think in certain ways.

I like it when women…

stares off dreamily into the distance

I think that womanhood is better and enriched for having trans women. I don't think that trans women being part of womanhood should be at all contingent on whether or not they enrich it, they simply are. Does that make sense.

[-] LadyButterfly@piefed.blahaj.zone 9 points 1 month ago

Perfect sense. And I agree it's sad we have to emphasise it, it's like saying "black women enrich womanhood". No women should ever be excluded in the first place

At least one of us is trans femme and yes, we do by showing people that the binary is silly as people do not and should not live up to performances and roles that do not genuinely suit them, or that stiffle them in some way.

Us women and women adjacent folks deserve more than to slot neatly into other's ideas of us and be controlled so much. From our bodies to our brains we should cast off the shackles that bind us to such ideas and choose freely for ourselves, even if that ends up looking like the prescribed roles we have had to endure for so long we won't do it for others and it won't look entirely like is expected.
