Slop detected

[-] belastend@lemmy.dbzer0.com 47 points 3 days ago

Has Prompt engineering gone too far?

Fucking AI slop.

[-] gil2455526@lemmy.eco.br 24 points 3 days ago

...Crap. I didn't noticed until I zoomed in. I'm getting old.

[-] blimthepixie@lemmy.dbzer0.com 61 points 3 days ago

It'll be great until the spin cycle

[-] ZILtoid1991@lemmy.world 1 points 1 day ago

If it were those Direct Drive washing machines, it didn't really had that issue.

[-] Finch9678@europe.pub 56 points 3 days ago

On the opposite, then your soup doesn't need stirring....

[-] ChicoSuave@lemmy.world 50 points 3 days ago

Is this AI? The text isn't legible as letters and the lines between panels don't seem to line up right

[-] ZILtoid1991@lemmy.world 3 points 1 day ago

I checked it closer, and it still has a lot of awful artifacting. This could be a result of some really shoddy AI upscaling, which likes to melt details, especially if they just put it into some image generator, and ask it to upscale it. There's some actual usable AI driven image upscalers for lineart, etc., but they're obviously not good for photos, and even mess up some lineart stuff.

[-] Chiarottide@lemmy.world 1 points 9 hours ago

I thought so too but then I noticed that the 4 burners have 5 knobs

[-] ZILtoid1991@lemmy.world 2 points 8 hours ago

AI likes to hallucinate details it cannot decypher to something else when used for upscaling, but otherwise it's now plausible that it is AI.

[-] ExLisper@lemmy.curiana.net 37 points 3 days ago* (last edited 3 days ago)

It does like like AI which is strange because it's basically something like this:

on top of a washing machine. Nothing strange. You can just google it:

So... do people use AI now to copy images from the internet? WTF?

[-] ChicoSuave@lemmy.world 16 points 3 days ago

It's like AI copies of actual comics. The unimaginative using tools for the uncreative - slop all the way to their core so they don't understand why it's repulsive.

[-] HornedMeatBeast@lemmy.world 16 points 3 days ago

First thing I thought as well, there are a lot of issues in the photo.

Not even sure what that thing is on the floor to the left, the letters look wrong and so do the buttons and stove knobs.

[-] wazzupdog 10 points 3 days ago

Either AI or AI upscaling gone horribly.

[-] Dicska@lemmy.world 5 points 3 days ago

Don't tell me you don't have the pot handle attached to the inside of the pot!

[-] HornedMeatBeast@lemmy.world 11 points 3 days ago

I don't, but my coffee mug does.

[-] Dicska@lemmy.world 5 points 3 days ago

It's all fine as long as you hold the liquid on the outside.

[-] bpev@lemmy.world 2 points 3 days ago

Do you... hate yourself? Or is this the 3rd best guest mug?

[-] HornedMeatBeast@lemmy.world 5 points 3 days ago

My guest mug is my face photoshopped onto some buff dude dressed up as a unicorn.

[-] carotte 6 points 3 days ago

i think it is, look at the knobs on the top of the washing machine. they’re nonsensical

[-] Ilovethebomb@sh.itjust.works 2 points 2 days ago

Those look close to normal, but the burners don't look right.

[-] Railcar8095@lemm.ee 3 points 3 days ago

I think the fact there are 5 fire controls (is that the technical term, or my brain is on strike?) And the weird letters make me think it's AI.

[-] Ilovethebomb@sh.itjust.works 1 points 2 days ago

There are gas hobs that have a row of three burners along the back, but they don't have the supporting frames running this way, so good spot.

[-] RedEyeFlightControl@lemmy.world 27 points 3 days ago

[-] Finch9678@europe.pub 7 points 3 days ago

Or has it gone not too far enough!?

[-] dgbbad@lemmy.zip 8 points 3 days ago

I respect my opponent. I think he's a good man. But frankly, I agree with everything he just said!

[-] Vorticity@lemmy.world 13 points 3 days ago

Everyone is saying it's a washer. Couldn't it be a gas dryer? The combination makes a little sense if they're both gas appliances. Maybe many apartments only have one gas line and this is the easiest and cheapest way to install a dryer. Add it where there is already gas for the stove.

[-] boonhet@lemm.ee 5 points 3 days ago

It's a washer but it's also AI generated most likely. But also not too uncommon in tiny apartments.

[-] Vorticity@lemmy.world 5 points 3 days ago

Okay, I didn't look at the image closely enough. Yes, definitely AI. The knobs look like they're melting. The buttons are all off-kilter. Non of the text is actual text, just AI blurs.

[-] LilB0kChoy@midwest.social 4 points 3 days ago

To me it just looks like a cook top on top of a washing machine as though limitedon space.

[-] Chee_Koala@lemmy.world 4 points 3 days ago

Last year I learn about gas-fridges, now you're telling me there are gas-dryers.. so cool. on-topic: I normally don't HAVE to wash while I cook, so if it's all secure and it's a stable washer I could see that working too.

[-] RaoulDook@lemmy.world 2 points 3 days ago

Quite possibly so. The real question is where in the shit are those motherfuckers gonna cook a pizza?

So, you guys never had to live in a badly designed apartment, because you couldn't afford a better one.

I have been living like this in Greece for about 3 years.

[-] Almacca@aussie.zone 5 points 2 days ago

I say it hasn't gone far enough.

[-] uriel238 5 points 2 days ago

I presume the point that you only need one methane source connection for two appliances that use it heavily.

So, an appliance for low-drag homesteads.

[-] ShaggySnacks@lemmy.myserv.one 4 points 3 days ago

I love me some Slavic jank.

[-] spankmonkey@lemmy.world 6 points 3 days ago

This is awesome tbh.

[-] Gullible@sh.itjust.works 5 points 3 days ago* (last edited 3 days ago)

I could see a market for those who don’t use ovens, just stove tops

[-] ignoble_stigmas@sh.itjust.works 5 points 3 days ago

Or it is a combined function with an oven. Just be careful to not overcook the laundry

[-] SharkAttak@kbin.melroy.org 3 points 3 days ago

It could combine stovetop, washer, dryer and air fryer... I say, to the lab!

[-] lemmydripzdotz456@lemmy.world 4 points 3 days ago

I don't know that those things are connected. It looks like a stove top set on top of a washing machine.

[-] SwingingTheLamp@midwest.social 3 points 3 days ago

Brilliant! Just put your pillow in the wash on spin cycle while cooking your risotto to save a lot of effort.
