"Well, they did sign up for it, actually. And this is what I campaigned on," Trump said of the tariffs during an interview with ABC News that aired Tuesday.

And you can't really argue with that.

And not a one, including himself, understood what tariffs were.

[-] aesthelete@lemmy.world 24 points 3 months ago

One of the few times I agree with this flatulent.

If you lie so much you'll have trouble keeping your story straight, and eventually make a mistake and drop a few truths in there somewhere

[-] Ledericas@lemm.ee 9 points 3 months ago

a qoute from a ds9 character, you never tell the same lie twice.

But that's just something he overheard from one of his customers. After all, he is just a simple tailor.

[-] PattyMcB@lemmy.world 24 points 3 months ago

They did vote for him. Too bad most of his voters will hurt the most

[-] saigot@lemmy.ca 24 points 3 months ago

I agree with him on this one. Leopards meet face.

[-] D_C@lemm.ee 2 points 3 months ago

Hold up. Wait. So tRUMP isn't lying for once?

His lips moved therefore a childlike fabrication should be heard, right!!??!! I think I need to have a good long sit down and think about what he's done!

[-] Ledericas@lemm.ee 2 points 3 months ago

he also dint do the accordian hands when hes lying.

[-] Apricot@lemm.ee 20 points 3 months ago

Congrats, you voted to become poorer.

[-] BrianTheeBiscuiteer@lemmy.world 18 points 3 months ago

This is why I think Trump stickers next to prices should say, "You did this." He not only won't except blame for anything but he'll gladly shift blame to the people he's hurting the most.

Yes. Unfortunately we all have to suffer because a quarter of the US population is as ignorant as a box of rocks.

That being said, he also has the option of not destroying the US economy. Nobody is forcing him to recklessly abolish society.

[-] Infinite@lemmy.zip 5 points 3 months ago

A box of rocks would at least have the sense not to vote for a fascist criminal.

[-] Fredthefishlord 4 points 2 months ago

More than a quarter. Include everyone who didn't vote...

[-] SeriousMite@lemmy.world 17 points 3 months ago

Gotta read the fine print. And by fine print I mean Ariel Black 72pt.

[-] PlaidBaron@lemmy.world 2 points 3 months ago

As if they can read.

Eventually he farts out a truth... You got what you voted for. It's just the many morons that voted didn't understand tariffs, basic human decency, or that fascism=bad.

Given the way voters and non voters work, it’s pretty clear that there was a huge number how voted or de facto voted for him.

[-] selkiesidhe@lemm.ee 7 points 3 months ago

Well I didn't back you, clown. Tariffs should then apply only to MAGAt morons and lazy ass ButBothSides types

[-] Formfiller@lemmy.world 3 points 2 months ago* (last edited 2 months ago)

46% of Americans still support all of this. We’re a doomed nation full of Nazis. I feel like it’s going to get genocide/Great Depression bad.

[-] ABetterTomorrow@lemm.ee 3 points 2 months ago

You signed up for all of it and everyone that was opposite of you told you it’s fucking predictable it was going to happen. Even yelled out project 2025, it was right there in your face. But you don’t read a damn thing, of course you weren’t going to read that book like you don’t read the Bible. Stop. Falling. For. Obvious. Bullshit.
