Polls have done an about-face in the region, which experts say is fuelled by a historic lean toward the party amid threats from the outside, while the longstanding desire for change has been satiated by a new Liberal leader.

Most recent polling found the Liberal Party has a 21 percentage-point lead in the region, which includes Prince Edward Island, Newfoundland and Labrador, Nova Scotia, and New Brunswick. Nationally, the Conservatives and the Liberals are neck-and-neck.

The Liberals had fallen behind in popularity over the past two years. The party currently holds 24 of 32 seats across the Atlantic provinces, a decline from the 32 seats it captured in the 2015 election.

I would argue that people finally fucking woke up to the fact that the entire smear campaign against Trudeau led by PP WAS foreign interference. People are up all the absolute bullshit lies he was telling everyone about why their lives have gotten so much more expensive. He said it was Trudeau, the carbon tax, wholeness blah blah blah. And none of us seemed to care that he was spouting such fucking nonsense. Even when Trudeau met with trump and then made the 51st state comment and called him "governor" you people fucking chuckled and called him a cuck???

Now he's gone and I knew the very fucking moment he was gone that we would miss him. He was a great PM and Canada saw our population soar, our GDP almost doubled, we have a plethora of free trade deals that involve Europe and the south pacific. The carbon tax was a good policy, and people simply fucking hated change and Trudeau CHANGED this country big time. Before him we didn't have: the FHSA, childcare, dentalcare, the housing accelerator program, legalized marijuana that's regulated and taxed, he nominated damn near all supreme Court justices that were experienced and representative of our great nation, helped end over 90% of the boil water advisories across Canadian reserves, honest reconciliation with the native population of Canada like we have never seen before. He lowered taxes on working people, added rebates for them to the tune of thousands of dollars, the child tax benefit that only goes to middle class and working class people instead of the rich, pulling hundreds of thousands of children out of poverty, he lowered the retirement age back to 65, increased CPP payments for those who earn more that will see CPP payments double or triple in our lifetime.... And don't forget the massive increase to healthcare funding....Like fuck guys.

The guy was unfairly criticized when it came to the big stuff. All politicians make mistakes, and honestly Trudeau didn't make too many big ones. If we didn't have Trudeau and instead we had Harper.... We wouldn't have all these things. And you all let PP walk in and whine and bitch and moan and rattle off bullshit conspiracy theories and spew false information about all sorts of issues. I didn't even get into the fact that Trudeau guided us through the pandemic extremely well and we had the best damn recovery of the g7...

So anyways, the liberals fucking deserve this election because there simply isn't a good alternative. The conservatives are just Americans and the NDP is just lost and needs a new leader and the greens....well the greens are still cool af but they need to drop the anti vaxx anti nuclear crap.

Well written my dude, this is basically how I feel about the situation summed up, I have saved it to my notes. You made some great points and well said.

When we need to come together, PP has shown us time and time again he is willing to divide us for his personal gain.

We're Canadians, we will always have each other's backs like we did at Vimy ridge and Ypres. Doesn't matter if you're from Quebec, British Columbia, the Yukon or Alberta, we're all Canadians and we will always be Canadian

He literally had to do nothing. He just couldn't help the Trump boot licking.
