Tech billionaire and shadow president Elon Musk’s personal brand and fortune are linked to the cars. They are a visible reminder to people everyday that Musk is tearing through the federal government and destroying things with no oversight or regard for the human cost of the damage he inflicts. It’s pissed people off and they’re taking it out on Tesla.

Protestors are standing outside Tesla lots and waving anti-Musk signs. Celebrities and influencers are going viral with videos announcing the sell-off of their Musk-branded EV. People are throwing molotov cocktails at Teslas, spray painting them with swastikas, stealing their tires, and setting them on fire. During a Mardis Gras parade earlier this month, revelers repeatedly pelted a Cybertruck with beads, bottles, and other debris for three hours as it weaved its way through the parade route.

Good.

I REALLY want to talk to one of those right wing tools who used to go around tampering with recharge stations and rolling coal on Teslas. See what they've been up to lately

Oh no! DO NOT throw things at Teslas from the sides, as the cameras won't see you. DO NOT conceal your face while throwing a molotov cocktail, which would make it pretty much impossible to catch you unless someone follows you.

Just put on a maga hat and Trump shirt and cover your face.
Half of trump supporters hate electric vehicles anyway so it won't even be out of character for one of them.

It's tempting. I nearly got hit by one that was in the bike lane. there's two places where people use the bike lane as a turn lane, but the car lane already was a forced turn lane. The tesla driver is the only one that honked at me.

I see a lot of the before elon was crazy bumber stickers too but really tesla drivers seem to have a minimum amount of shitty disregard for anyone else's safety. At the very least fuck anyone who bought in after he called the diver a pedophile for rescuing the kids manually before he could build his fantasy submarine.

That was the turning point, wasn't it.

to the extent I was paying attention, that was the first really troubling thing apart from his lineage and obscene wealth

Sucks for owners that bought before he was clearly a shitty person. Insurance was already higher for them because there was a value premium. Now used ones sell for less than competing models but they still have to pay higher insurance.

A lot of unlucky car service people in my area invested in the sedans.

Aren’t they insured by Tesla because no other insurance company will touch them?

Just saying that in the unfortunate event of a write-off accident the insurance providers for Tesla owners might replace their car with a non-Tesla if they request it.
