I can't build more Lego sets because I've run out of space to put them when they're done. Waiting on getting more shelving.

Have you tried this website called Lemmy? It's pretty good

[-] Taleya@aussie.zone 4 points 1 day ago

I have to go to the other bunnings 15 mins away as opposed to the one 5 mins away to pick up some panels for shelving

I've become allergic to Veet hair removal cream. Worked like a charm the first two times with no irritation/rash, third time was not the charm because now I still have slight rash over my arms & legs :x

First world country becoming a third world country. USA.

Have to wait a few days after shaving before I can safely wax my legs. Really hate the feeling of the little hair follicles rubbing against my pants before I rip them out.

(gestures vaguely:) I'm American...

[-] trolololol@lemmy.world 7 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago)

But the question was about first world....

Sorry for what you're going mate but I couldn't help making the joke

[-] toadjones79@lemm.ee 2 points 1 day ago

It's a fair point. I'm one of the lucky ones, really. For now I only have to suffer embarrassment.

[-] CheeseToastie@lazysoci.al 7 points 2 days ago

You really do have my sympathy

[-] toadjones79@lemm.ee 6 points 2 days ago

I'm sorry we have become the burden the world has to deal with right now.

[-] trolololol@lemmy.world 3 points 1 day ago

Eeeeeeh do you mean now as in the last 80 years?

[-] toadjones79@lemm.ee 1 points 1 day ago

Would gesturing vaguely a second time answer your question satisfactorily?

[-] trolololol@lemmy.world 1 points 42 minutes ago

Eeeeh vaguely gestures back

The country next to mine keeps threatening to invade.

[-] superkret@feddit.org 4 points 2 days ago

That's traditionally a third world problem.

[-] chrisbtoo@lemmy.world 3 points 1 day ago

If it's any consolation, the last time they invaded, we burned down their White House. We could do it again, if necessary :)

My father has gone against my grandparents wishes and isn't sharing the inheritance with his children.

[-] CheeseToastie@lazysoci.al 2 points 1 day ago

Oh gawd. Is he a good dad in general?

[-] dumblederp@aussie.zone 2 points 1 day ago
[-] CheeseToastie@lazysoci.al 2 points 1 day ago

Not surprised but I'm sorry

[-] dumblederp@aussie.zone 2 points 1 day ago

It was the nail in the coffin of our relationship. I've stopped answering his calls and am just done with him. So in a way its a blessing.

[-] CheeseToastie@lazysoci.al 2 points 1 day ago

I get that totally some people are toxic

Keeping ducks out of my pool.

Also there's a certain fork my partner hates using but refuses to get rid of.

[-] CheeseToastie@lazysoci.al 5 points 2 days ago

I love ducks so I'd be no use to you. I'd be encouraging them to come back more

They shit so much, otherwise I'd be fine with them.

[-] Taleya@aussie.zone 1 points 1 day ago

Put up a sign that they're not allowed in without nappies

[-] CheeseToastie@lazysoci.al 4 points 2 days ago

Ahhhhh good point...

Our Senior sysadmin is on vacation, and on Wednesday, our licenses for both our email filtering system and our firewall run out.
I was tasked with getting the replacement systems set up, but due to miscommunication and other issues, I didn't have enough time for a proper test run.
So we're going to flip the switch and hope we are still able to log in and receive mail afterwards.
Cause if we aren't, we're forced to pay 30k € for a license renewal after already purchasing the replacements.

This has lead to a resurgence of my ADHD symptoms, and I wasn't able to wind down all weekend.
I've been having a constant fight-or-flight reflex for the past 3 days, but there's nothing to fight or flee from.

That's stressful mate... I have anxiety so I can relate to what it's like to have your body think you're being chased by a bear. Reach out to us of you need to vent

[-] trolololol@lemmy.world 2 points 1 day ago

Yes please reach out, someone's stupidity is always falling on people who couldn't have prevented it and has to fix it

Instead of treating my intense joint pain, I just got prescribed an app with streching exercises. Thanks for nothing.

[-] peaches@lemm.ee 2 points 1 day ago

What do you suspect could be the problem? How are your stress levels? How is your microbiome? Do you sleep well? Do you eat well?

[-] LouNeko@lemmy.world 3 points 1 day ago

Injury Related, Bad, Bad, No, No.

[-] peaches@lemm.ee 1 points 19 hours ago

Well…in parallel to whatever treatment, you could slowly work on those. They really help in recovery. Inflammation can make joints more painful. For sleep, what I did was, slowly change attitude to whatever causes the stress, take magnesium bisglycinate before bed, not eat a few hours before bed, use some relaxing music and meditation, go for walks outside. I always ate healthy, so that it easy for me, but you can start making small changes incremental. Bad sleep makes you crave junk food. For microbiome, I started making my own kefir and kimchi. I also followed some protocols from Dr Wiliam Davis book: Super Gut. That is how I cured my SIBO. Recently, I introduced more iodine, and that helped me even more with the sleep.

Travelling too much means I can't spend time at home

[-] CheeseToastie@lazysoci.al 1 points 2 days ago

Where are you travelling to?

[-] Blaze@discuss.tchncs.de 3 points 2 days ago

A few countries nearby to visit family. It's not that bad, that's why it's a first world problem 😄
