How are stern letters supposed to stop a dictator that can't read?

[-] tiefling 32 points 3 weeks ago

They're just going to do it, and judges will shrug and say oh well. It's easier to dismantle than rebuild

[-] earphone843@sh.itjust.works 7 points 3 weeks ago

Honestly, it needs to be rebuilt, but this definitely isn't the way to go about it.

I wish someone competent would fix the US education system. Spending twice as much as Europe on schools and healthcare and getting less from both is not ideal

[-] knightly@pawb.social 21 points 3 weeks ago

Cool. Wake me up when Trump and Elon start caring about behaving lawfully.

That’ll be after they’re in the ground

Enjoy your really long nap. That day will never come.

“We’ve got him on the ropes” says lawyer after Trump’s 100th ongoing lawsuit hits the courts.

Which 20 states? Get it together, CNBC

[-] don@lemm.ee 5 points 3 weeks ago

The lawsuit on the NY AG’s government website, for those who want to read it.

[-] some_guy@lemmy.sdf.org 4 points 3 weeks ago

I'm proud to say that my AG (Rob Bonta, Calif) is onboard.

Need a whole lot more than 20.

I am so happy to see Washington on that list, especially after my representative voted to censure Al Green.

Going forward, slapfights will result in removed comments and temp bans to cool off.
  4. Vote based on comment quality, not agreement. This community aims to foster discussion; please reward people for putting effort into articulating their viewpoint, even if you disagree with it.
  5. No hate speech, slurs, celebrating death, advocating violence, or abusive language. This will result in a ban. Usernames containing racist, or inappropriate slurs will be banned without warning
