I love these stories, they make me happy.

You encountered a situation most would consider an inconvenience but which to you represents an external confirmation of your identity instead.

I guess you need a new passport though...

I'm super happy for you. It's like you're a totally different person now.

I worked at a bank for 10 years about 15 years ago. Unless we know this person prior to transition, we can't use the ID anymore and go straight to another method to verify you. I recommend updating your ID photo. Some places have more strict policies that might be less welcoming.
