“They were a little hesitant about showing me the warrant, per se, but what I saw they didn't have a seal on it or anything,” he told the LA Times. “What is did clearly say was 'illegal alien.'”
Once he saw those words, he realized it was likely an immigration issue.
“It happened so fast,” he said. “I was taken aback, really.”
At the same time, an individual with a loudspeaker — unaffiliated with the federal agents — shouted that Espinoza did not have to open the door to them without a warrant signed by a judge.
“Do not talk to them if they do not have a warrant,” the individual said.
Other people who had been following the federal agents with megaphones called them “kidnappers” and “terrorists” and began chanting the words “say it once, say it twice, we will not put up with ICE.”
Hell yeah! Run those brownshirts out of town, LA!
Hell yes that was an invigorating read! Those people following ICE agents around are HEROES. This also reminded me to get a megaphone.
The media would have you believe that no one is fighting back, this is because if you feel alone you are less likely to fight back.
The title of the article implies that it's just silly that a traffic officer was confronted at his house by ICE, but what really matters in this article is the people following those ICE agents with megaphones.
They are doing what is right, while taking personal risk, and their bravery should be spread far and wide, so others will be emboldened to act.
There are always good people, there are always those who will fight, you are not alone.
Time to follow them around with loudspeakers while also open carrying.
Waaay illegal in Los Angeles
That's not stopping a whole lotta people
Concealed sure, but I don't think I've ever seen someone open carry in LA.

Wasn't that from the Rodney King riots in 1992?
So is attempting to search a house without a warrant
That's that funny thing about laws and selective enforcement
There are several exemptions to the prohibitions against carrying an unloaded handgun in public under California Penal Code Section 26350 PC. Any person who has a been granted a concealed carry permit (“CCW”) under California Penal Code Section 26150 PC or California Penal Code Section 26155 PC would be allowed to openly carry their firearm while in a public, non-prohibited place.
While I can't find the specific ordinance at the moment, I'm about 95% positive that LA County has a law on the books prohibiting open carry, even unloaded (including replicas), even with a CCW. There are exemptions for law enforcement and while filming a permitted movie/tv show. Typically, local ordinance will supercede state law in situations like this here in CA.
That all said, I wouldn't be trying my luck against the LAPD/LASD lol.

They already shot someone's dog just because you mentioned them.
I've never understood why it is legal for law enforcement to lie and attempt to trick people. I get needing undercover cops to be able to lie. But anyone not officially under cover should not be allowed to.
