Supervillain origin story if I've ever heard one

[-] lugal@sopuli.xyz 1 points 1 day ago

Can't be that powerful if they just like that got fired

[-] qjkxbmwvz@startrek.website 16 points 2 days ago* (last edited 2 days ago)

Sounds like it was a 2 petawatt pulsed laser, with picosecond pulses, so 2kJ/pulse. Staggering amount of power and energy for a pulsed laser!

Note that it's not CW, so the average power will be much, much, much less than the pulsed power. Too lazy to find the rep rate to see average power.

[-] tetris11@lemmy.ml 3 points 1 day ago

Well yeah, clearly because all this time he's been a massive fraud! He's clearly a tampon in disguise

[-] sgbrain7@lemm.ee 9 points 2 days ago

I know he'll prove those guys wrong some day

[-] ininewcrow@lemmy.ca 12 points 2 days ago

Gets angry and lies himself on top of a high powered sniper rifle

[-] Nasan@sopuli.xyz 8 points 2 days ago

That's a pretty niche role, a position as part of the laser grid at a museum is much more steady
