Wish I knew this bozo in person so I could tell him he's a moron to his face

[-] Hadriscus@lemm.ee 14 points 6 hours ago

[-] mojofrododojo@lemmy.world 1 points 3 hours ago

[-] naught101@lemmy.world 10 points 6 hours ago

Not saying it's not dumb, but it's definitely not unprecedented.

Dude just needs to shut the fuck up. You voted for this you goddamn moron! You voted the guy in that wants to revert to a chattle system you absolute dunce.

[-] expr@programming.dev 15 points 7 hours ago

Yes, he is a dumbass, but frankly this is exactly what's needed. More and more of his base having reality hit them in the face, complaining loudly, and fracturing his support.

[-] Soulg@sh.itjust.works 10 points 6 hours ago

Sure would've been nice to have that without fucking over everyone else at the same time

[-] superminerJG@lemmy.world 6 points 9 hours ago

The leopards ate their faces.

[-] Katana314@lemmy.world 33 points 13 hours ago

The painful part is he didn't even say anything like "I regret voting for you!" It was more like "I am strongly considering reducing the level of my support for you!"

Not that Don needs his support anymore. I almost feel like one of the biggest messages to keep pushing is: "Don doesn't care about you." As far as I can find, he hasn't even put out any comments on the pardoned Jan 6 rioter that was killed in a traffic stop.

The irony here is that Trump's coalition was so broad because these minority groups felt abandoned when Biden didn't fulfill his promises, but everyone here is kind of just pretending Harris would have actually done something for them. Whether it was inflation, cop cities, endless war, abortion repeal, or assisting in the perpetration of child genocide, Dems did a really shitty job.

And for those of you about to whine about 'both sides-ism', yes, both of you do lie and make extravagant promises during campaign time, and then always fail to deliver.

But you still vote Democrat and Republican anyway.

[-] rational_lib@lemmy.world 6 points 6 hours ago

When Democrats lose, there's endless navel-gazing and wondering what went wrong. If there was enough minority outreach, if there was enough non-minority outreach, what policies should've been passed or left on the cutting room floor.

When Republicans lose, they simply don't give a fuck. No one on the right was asking after Trump's loss in 2020 whether it was a mistake to let him run again or if he should've done an interview with Charlamagne the God. They just doubled down on Trump.

The point isn't to say Democrats should be more like Republicans. Republicans are a loony cult, no one should be like them. The point is that there is an extreme and insane double standard, and anyone who acts like Democrats are the ones who need to be harsher on their candidates is hard to take seriously.

[-] FlashMobOfOne@lemmy.world 2 points 5 hours ago

are the ones who need to be harsher on their candidates is hard to take seriously.

LOL, I remember in Biden's State of the Union when he ridiculed the Defund the Police movement, and it became crystal clear that you were voting fascist no matter who you picked.

Fuck yes Dems should be more discerning, but it's not like you the voter have any power. It's the rich picking your candidates for you too.

[-] rational_lib@lemmy.world 2 points 4 hours ago* (last edited 4 hours ago)

Maybe you will should've picked a more marketable slogan than the one that makes it sound like you wanna just let criminals win. There's a difference between a fascist and a gutless politician. Trump is the former, Biden is the latter. What leftists need is the ability to recognize shades of grey and the notion of getting somewhere step by step instead of trying to convince people to leap all the way down the stairs.

[-] FlashMobOfOne@lemmy.world 2 points 3 hours ago

There’s a difference between a fascist and a gutless politician. Trump is the former, Biden is the latter.

The only difference is one says mean things and one doesn't. That's it. Biden supported cop cities (and by extension, murderous cops), didn't do anything to actually make life livable in America for most (and in fact, wanted to make banks report lower balances so they could tax gig workers harder), and enthusiastically supplied WMD's to a genocide. That to me is pretty darn fascist.

[-] Sprocketfree@sh.itjust.works 11 points 9 hours ago

The point is this guy VOTED for this. He's not taking the both sides bs argument. He actively supported this, there is a bigggggg difference.

[-] FlashMobOfOne@lemmy.world 4 points 9 hours ago

I do appreciate that he isn't just pretending Trump is powerless like Democrats always do after the election.

[-] TheReturnOfPEB@reddthat.com 2 points 6 hours ago

So both you and Trump still blame Biden

[-] FlashMobOfOne@lemmy.world 2 points 5 hours ago

I blame Biden for his record, yes.

[-] cley_faye@lemmy.world 4 points 9 hours ago

Sure, let's say "things didn't improve much" and "they're actively trying to kill us" is the very exact same thing, and justify taking sides with the later.

[-] maniajack@lemmy.world 2 points 9 hours ago* (last edited 9 hours ago)

Yeah and I guess you vote third party or not at all which also is a vote for trump. Or maybe you're not even in the US. Pie in the sky idealism is great but unless you're organizing and changing the system BEFORE a generationally crucial election, and you voted third party (aka for trump) then you are just as naive and you'll suffer along with everyone else for your ridiculous unrealistic ideals.

Harris would not have doomed us all to climate change or borked the whole fed government (the consequences of which we're already seeing and will only get much worse in the coming months) and definitely wouldn't have blamed a plane crash on all non-white people with straight up Jim Crow era messaging. Your comment is disingenuous or severely misinformed.

[-] shy_mia 38 points 14 hours ago

What a surprising turn of events! Who could've possibly predicted this? Are you telling me that the party founded on hate for anyone who isn't a rich white guy is making things harder for whoever isn't a rich white guy? Preposterous!

[-] WhiskyTangoFoxtrot@lemmy.world 5 points 13 hours ago

They had different principles when they were founded, but that was a long time ago.

[-] shy_mia 1 points 2 hours ago

Yeah I meant the modern republican party. It's kind of ironic that the party that freed the slaves is also the one that wants them back.

[-] MothmanDelorian@lemmy.world 2 points 14 hours ago

They are even making it bad for rich white guys!

[-] shy_mia 1 points 2 hours ago* (last edited 2 hours ago)

Billionaire fascists have no friends, they have accomplices and pawns. Both are disposable once they served their purpose, much like the values and principles said billionaires pretend to stand for.
The only thing they value is themselves and their innate disdain for everybody else.

[-] explodicle@sh.itjust.works 6 points 13 hours ago

Fascism gets extra spicy once they betray the people who put them in power.

[-] iAvicenna@lemmy.world 13 points 14 hours ago

how could he have known that leopards would eat his face?

[-] cupcakezealot 12 points 14 hours ago

Damn leopards again

[-] RandAlThor@lemmy.ca 61 points 22 hours ago

I have zero sympathies for these morons.

[-] reseller_pledge609@lemmy.dbzer0.com 28 points 21 hours ago

That was my first thought. My heart bleeds for you. I wish I could help you. But you're beyond help and I'm just gonna laugh instead.

[-] Goodmorningsunshine@lemmy.world 4 points 13 hours ago

This was my first thought. And my second thought, too.

[-] RandAlThor@lemmy.ca 29 points 21 hours ago

And for the Arabs who voted for Trump thinking he's going to help with Palestinians. How stupid do you have to be?

[-] reseller_pledge609@lemmy.dbzer0.com 12 points 21 hours ago

Maybe I'm just a bleeding heart librul, but I really do feel sorry for these people. They're absolutely getting what they deserve, but they've been brainwashed. Propaganda is a powerful thing.

[-] RandAlThor@lemmy.ca 13 points 21 hours ago

I am a liberal. But I have none left for these morons. Since I don't understand them, I must be out of touch too. But I live in Canada, and I don't have any poor black american friends.

[-] reseller_pledge609@lemmy.dbzer0.com 14 points 21 hours ago* (last edited 21 hours ago)

I live in the Southern hemisphere. Far away from these idiots. But I still feel like their education system and their country as a whole has failed them, leading to this idiocy.

ETA: That's why I still feel somewhat sorry for them even though I'm laughing at how stupid it is.

A black Muslim MAGA? What a fucking moron.

Wanna bet $50 he went to GOP because he hates queers?

[-] Cargon@lemmy.ml 13 points 14 hours ago

He thought he would get to live in the master's house.

[-] ivanafterall@lemmy.world 2 points 7 hours ago

But they said I was one of the good ones. :(

Or just a grifter that wanted the bag and found joining the GOP would do that as his audience would be dumb.

[-] Jumpingspiderman@lemmy.world 10 points 20 hours ago

He hates queers because he wants queers to fuck him. And that inner conflict upsets him

There was a story I read 10 years ago about a guy in Florida. He was at a beach, and there were several signs and fences, and warnings not to be on the beach because there were alligators in those waters.

A policeman saw the guy, wearing a bathing suit, headed for the water. He yelled at the guy "NO! STOP! THERE ARE ALLIGATORS IN THAT WATER! IT'S MATING SEASON WHICH MEANS THEY'RE HIGHLY AGGRESSIVE RIGHT NOW!

Dude yells back "FUCK THE ALLIGATORS!!!"

Goes into the water and within 30 seconds is ripped to shreds in front of his wife and children. When his emotional wife tried yelling at the cop "WHY DIDN'T YOU RUN IN TO SAVE HIM???" The cop answered "I'm not going in that water. There's alligators in there. It's not even safe to have a lifeguard on this beach."

I bring that up so you'll understand the reference I make here.

I don't feel bad for "Blacks for trump". I feel zero empathy for them and the problems trump causes them. Not because they're black, or some racist thing, but because they ignored the alligator signs. All the signs were there. All the signs were there. All the signs said it would be bad for them. They still went into the lake. Fuck em.

[-] riquisimo@lemmy.dbzer0.com 2 points 13 hours ago

Beach? Alligators don't like saltwater. They like lakes and rivers and such. Maybe he was swimming in a lake. Lakes wouldn't have lifeguards.

Also, anyone in Florida knows you don't swim in lakes. You treat all bodies of water as if they have a gator in them.

Granted, we're talking about an idiot that would swim with alligators. So that part might be true, but a lot of this story is suspect to me.
