Meanwhile, future First Lady Elon Musk weighed in on Tuesday
Ooh spicy, I like it
I don't. I don't like Musk at all, but this business of calling him a lady as an insult feels like we slipped back a few decades. It has a bad taste about it.
I think "first lady" is referring to the absence of Meliana and omnipresence of Musk at Trump's side rather than saying Musk is/identifies as female.
Still, as you say, an unwise choice of words because the phrase can be taken a couple of/a few ways.
He intentionally misgenders his own children so honestly I'm not that torn up about it.
There's nothing wrong with being a woman, it's only an insult if Musk thinks it is. We're allowing him to torture himself with it.
No need to misgender him, though, we should just start calling him Trump's sugar daddy
As @HorseChandelier pointed out, it's not about misgendering, it's about what being a first Lady entails
I think “first lady” is referring to the absence of Meliana and omnipresence of Musk at Trump’s side rather than saying Musk is/identifies as female
LoFi Rasputin
This has the added benefit of being literally true.
Trump's faux leather wallet
But then Trump nominated Gaetz to attorney general on Wednesday and Gaetz quickly and quietly resigned from the House—meaning the committee no longer has jurisdiction over him and might never release the report.
Why are these investigations always so slow?
I think in this case, the house report couldn't be released close to an election, so since Gaetz had a primary and general election, that delayed it by 5 months at least to be after the election. IMO, resigning or not shouldn't matter to the report being in the public record.
Five months is a crazy amount of time to hold something. Five months ago Biden was running for President. I'm not against a general rule that limits when a report is released, but people should who who their candidate is.
Honestly, I think people can easily sit in jail longer waiting for a trial to see if they should be in jail or not.
I totally forgot Gaetz has a fuck child
That's weird.
Classy!
