Wait... Nick Fuentes actually genuinely bought into the big lie? I knew he was an idiot but I thought he was at least a conman idiot... jfc what a dumbass.

[-] badbrainstorm@lemmy.world 60 points 1 week ago

He absolutely knew. Just gonna make a scene about it publicly so he can play the victim

[-] realcaseyrollins@thelemmy.club 22 points 1 week ago

Bruh...if anybody was gonna fall for it, Nick Fuentes would 😂

[-] VerilyFemme 4 points 1 week ago

Seconded, Nick is definitely gay and fell for the Nazi schtick. It's not a crazy jump.

"Then what are we even doing anymore?"

It's sedition, you're doing sedition. Always was, always gonna be.

His problem wasn't that he lost, it sounds like his problem is that TFG admitted he lost.

So why did we do stop the steal? Why did anyone go to January 6th? Why is anyone sitting in jail? Why did anything bad happen to anybody? Why did everyone get censored? Why is everything bad that has happened to the people that are involved? Why did that need to happen? If you’re just going to walk it all back and say, “oh, I lost.”

The part where he complains about how "it's such a callous indifference to the sacrifices made by (Trump's) supporters on (Trump's) behalf" just sent me. He thinks Trump is being callously indifferent now? Amazing that they'll never allow themselves to realize or admit that Trump never gave a shit about them in the first place.

Surely this orange leopard won't eat my face?

[-] Mog_fanatic@lemmy.world 11 points 1 week ago* (last edited 1 week ago)

How dare you besmirch the good name of leopards like that

[-] Maeve@kbin.earth 5 points 1 week ago

Yes, I noticed that as well. And I've come to understand something about karma, which is really just life lessons. We keep doing a thing, and somehow it's never wrong until someone does it to us. After that, it's still never won't when we do it, because "it was different/they deserved it/they're weird," any number of self-justifying excuses we have ourselves in perpetuating cycles of abuse, all the while not understanding why it keeps happening to us all the time! Stepping off the hamster wheel is not only understanding that if it's wrong when others do it to us (who are justifying what they do to us with the same weird excuses), but also stopping the behavior.

We will stumble. We will fall. But if we really understand that bullying is never acceptable, and we really understand that "hurt people hurt people," then we take steps to address in ourselves the same behavior we find so easy to address in others. Will people still be mean to us? Probably. It gives us opportunities to stretch and grow, along with those who may not be as far along. If we resist, the cycle continues, until every person decides to step off the hamster wheel.

If they act surprised then they can pretend that they were fooled by some great conman, the same as having a deepstate that makes sure bad things happen to them that they can’t control. The second they need to acknowledge that it was obvious and they missed it they’re basically broadcasting how fucking stupid they are and that’s too much for them to handle.

I mean, I’m 100% sure it’s happened to everyone who ever lived at least a couple times but usually it does get to “supported Trump’s coup attempt” so we don’t notice it as much.

[-] WhiskyTangoFoxtrot@lemmy.world 2 points 1 week ago

I really don't care, do U?

[-] AbidanYre@lemmy.world 35 points 1 week ago

Well, that would have been good to know that before 1600 people got charged! It would have been good to know that before I had all my money frozen, put out a no fly list, banned from everything, lost all banking and payment processing!

Maybe you should have done your own research. Isn't that what these clowns like to tell people?

[-] Asafum@feddit.nl 11 points 1 week ago

They did! FreedomEagleBasementPatriotReport.ru said it was all true and a democrat hoax! Fox news verified it!

[-] unmagical@lemmy.ml 26 points 1 week ago

What a weird, insecure man.

[-] DrSleepless@lemmy.world 11 points 1 week ago

Weirdos gonna weird

[-] solsangraal@lemmy.zip 24 points 1 week ago

[-] luciferofastora@lemmy.zip 2 points 1 week ago

lollllllll true

[-] eran_morad@lemmy.world 13 points 1 week ago

Why don’t we just send all these guys to some island and let them battle it out? I’d bet they’d go willingly.

[-] shalafi@lemmy.world 7 points 1 week ago

If he admits that he lost, then that actually vindicates the DoD or I’m sorry, the DOJ charge against him because the charge is that he knew he lost, but he lied to defraud the people! That’s the that’s the DOJ charge.

Now that's an angle I hadn't thought of! We've had election night reports of Trump admitting loss, but never (?) from the man himself.

[-] just_another_person@lemmy.world 6 points 1 week ago

Wow...WTF. Never thought I'd be shaking my head in agreement with anything a crazy, racist, Proud Boy is saying, but the clip within is that. Makes a lot of sense to have regret and realize you were lied to and mislead by Trump.

[-] whostosay@lemmy.world 34 points 1 week ago

This guy doesn't have any regrets for his actions, he is upset that Trump made him look like an even bigger fool.

[-] just_another_person@lemmy.world 9 points 1 week ago

Did you watch the video? Doesn't have anything to with regrets. He's making a lot of points that a a sane, rational, and non-MAGA person has been making this whole time.

  • Trump is a liar
  • Trump doesn't care about anyone else
  • Why didn't he just admit he lost in the first place and save a lot of people the trouble

These are rational thoughts, where he was clearly not rational previously.

I'm not feeling bad for this piece of shit, just shocked he's come to a place where he's speaking and I can agree with something he's saying.

[-] whostosay@lemmy.world 1 points 1 week ago

I did. I was speaking on your comment that has the word regret in it.

The point I'm making is that he's not saying these things because he's suddenly rational. He's saying them because he's saving his own image and is just as big of a shitbag now as he's always been.

[-] VerilyFemme 5 points 1 week ago

Um, yeah? That's what everyone's besides Team Trump has been trying to do ever since.

He acts like Trump just now deserves to be charged because he fell for that bullshit.

I don't like to paint in broad strokes, but I believe that these people get grifted so hard because they place the consequences for their actions entirely on someone else. This could be a real self-growth moment if he would take a step back, say, "I can't believe I fell for that. What led me to that?"

Yeah, glad people on that side are starting to realize Trump's just a grifter, but without any self-reflection they're just going to vote for the next loud asshole that promises them everything.

[-] realcaseyrollins@thelemmy.club 4 points 1 week ago

but I believe that these people get grifted so hard because they place the consequences for their actions entirely on someone else.

I mean...that's the whole point of antisemitic neo-nazism, no? Everything is the Jews' fault? So that's not surprising to me.

[-] VerilyFemme 3 points 1 week ago

hmm, excellent observation

LOL, who was censored? I see Nazi dipshits like Fuentes still have a platform.

[-] prole 2 points 1 week ago

Why are the opinions of an out and proud Nazi considered news?
