Eh, I finally found a better website to use.

I think I won ๐Ÿ˜

Yeah in a way it was was a win-win. We all find a community we like more. Reddit maintains an enormous user base. Iโ€™ve found I no longer care what they do because I like this place better anyway.

We all won that one!

Because when the rubber hit the road, none of the mods were willing to blow up their subreddits.

They should have made an organized move to other platforms like this one. It would have given them leverage against Reddit

What is it they won exactly? They salted the earth and set the trash heaps on fire. Enjoy it I guess, the Fediverse is a paradise in comparison.

Oh sure, I guess they won. I haven't been back, guess they'll have to eat all the celebration cake without me.

Jokes on them. I didn't even care about the API thing.

I would say if Spez could have another such victory, it might end Reddit entirely as a for-profit endeavor. Maybe we could turn it into a not-for-profit service as it should always have been.

Damn, just checked DNDmemes and they stopped doing goblin and kobold porn like a month ago.

Truly a sad loss.
