[-] Zorque@lemmy.world 9 points 10 months ago

It's called parody and it's beautiful.

[-] JohnOliver@feddit.dk 1 points 10 months ago

It's not really. What Al Jankovic does is though

[-] FlihpFlorp@lemm.ee 67 points 10 months ago

I love Al too but why are so many companies trying to put him in every product. I isn’t think one man can pump out that much art and text

I mean, looking at Brandon Sanderson, we've clearly not yet hit the peak of human efficiency

[-] TranscendentalEmpire@lemm.ee 6 points 10 months ago

That's not fair. I'm still kinda convinced Brandon Sanderson has clones, or has made a compact with the devil or something. How can someone write so much and not be in the throws of of some kind of manic breakdown? It's just not fair to the other fantasy writers.

My theory is that his macaw secretly prepares the drafts

[-] nezbyte@lemmy.world 4 points 10 months ago

We are at, bing! 42% efficiency.

What's the reference to Brandon Sanderson?

[-] rockerface@lemm.ee 10 points 10 months ago

He pumps out so many books that he can almost rival text generating AI. And without losing on quality

[-] BugleFingers@lemmy.world 2 points 6 months ago

And from what I've read of his stuff, that quality is good!

AI art = Derivative.

Al art = Derivative, yet somehow as good or even better than the original.

I love the idea of Weird Al personally telling strangers to eat rocks and glue.

[-] BraveSentry@feddit.de 6 points 10 months ago

That text shoul be read/performed by John Oliver.

[-] Willy@sh.itjust.works 8 points 10 months ago

How would that work? It kinda has to be in text, with a font that works, and proper capitalization.

I admit the ambiguity of cap I and lower l gets lost but the wording is exactly what id expect in one of his rants on last week tonight.
