24 years later, the name’s inherited an unfortunate irony – if you want to play Monolith’s classic FPS game, or its sequel, A Spy in H.A.R.M.’s Way, you can’t. For all intents and purposes, one of the most inventive and well-loved shooters of the early ‘00s is dead and buried, unavailable on Steam, GOG, or anywhere else, and seemingly doomed to be abandoned.

If anyone wants to check these games out, you can get them here for free:

Groovy! Do it, NOLF 1 & 2 were and still are amazing games! And if they done that they should be so familar with the Lithtech Engine that remaking AvP 2 should be an easy job!

Found a website that someone hosts that has all their old files of AvP2 plus the expansion.

ETA: Here's the site where you can download AvP2 and the expansion Primal Hunt. Had to search again, but I found the reddit post lol.

AVP2 was my most played multiplayer FPS. Inventive gameplay as a wall climbing, pouncing Alien just carried a sheer thrill to it.

I can still hear the sound effects.

It also probably helps that the last time I played the game was in the last couple years thanks to this website

Bruh. My PC could barely play back then, can't wait to get back into it with a PC that it considers a god.

NOLF is a really fun game, I wish them well with their work

Yeah those games were really great. I barely remember the details because they were single player only iirc but I remember them being super fun in a unique way

I still vividly recall sneaking through one of the levels in NOLF 2 and hearing one of the henchmen yell "Who ate my chili mango chutney?! My mother made that for meeeeee"

Also the man-handler machine and the cubed henchmen later on.

This would make me very happy.

This would be amazing.

I tried replaying this a couple years ago, but really struggled with the controls. They are absolutely not modern, for example if I remember correctly the button to fire your gun is Shift.
