You could also take it a step further and say "all games are just tech demos"

Like all they exist to do is proof-of-concept type stuff showing off what people can do, instead of making a piece of entertainment for the people.

We Americans have been going abroad just for medical treatment for at least 20 years by this point. I remember seeing videos 10 years ago, talking about how much cheaper it is to fly to like Spain for a few weeks, have your procedure done (if it was a major surgery or something), hang out for a bit, then fly back; than it is to just have it done here in America.

I think the only Big Top Burger thing I've seen is that "WIRE" music video from a few years back.

Like the other reply said, GenTec Grenades by Genaxx

There's also Realistic EMP by RottenBeefJerky, which says it changes the vanilla pulse grenades and mines to be a true EMP weapon by only affecting robotic and power armored enemies.

Well there is a LAER mod, which is kind of like an EMP gun. It shoots electric bolts that do extra damage to mechanical enemies (power armor included) and I think has a chance to shut them down if you don't outright kill something first.

Edit: searching for "Fallout 4 EMP grenade mods" on Google, there are a couple different mods that might add what you're looking for.

It's Okay (To Punch Nazis in The Face) - Cheap Perfume is a great one I heard the other night.

I'm Scum - IDLES

Fight The Power - Public Enemy

Pretty much anything by Rage Against The Machine

I just had an interview at a dispensary. I hope I get the job, not only for cheaper weed, but also cause I need a fuckin job.

Wouldn't it be the taller the toilet, the more splash you'll have, as it needs to fall further before reaching the water?

[-] Zahille7@lemmy.world 8 points 1 day ago

Because it's just annoying and useless, it's a futile and stupid gesture. I'm pretty sure they've said before that it's to "throw off" AI training data, but it's literally pointless if it already knows what you're saying. If we can figure out what they're typing, so can AI.

I could say the exact same about fighting, racing, or other arcade-y games.

People like what they like, why shit on them for it?

Oh god, you're back.

So I've been making my way through MCC again, and I finished Halo 4 the other night and started some Spartan Ops today.

Holy shit, the Prometheans are honestly fucking terrible. Like what the actual hell were the devs on when they made these guys? The Watchers are the most bullshittest enemy to ever bullshit, Crawlers are incredibly annoying (although easy to pop) and Knights are just time-consuming bullet sponges.

On top of that, the despawning weapons thing is completely fucked. It screws you out of any possibility of scrounging up ammo during or after intense firefights, so God forbid you want to hang back and take your time picking off enemies before making your way to the next objective.

Spartan Ops is just more bullshit on the shit cake. Just incredibly unbalanced to where some missions are too easy and you're done in 5 minutes, and others you just get swarms of enemies that hunt you down relentlessly as soon you spawn in.

Favorite Level? (lemmy.world)
submitted 2 years ago by Zahille7@lemmy.world to c/halo@lemmy.world

I was just wondering everyone's favorite level(s) were/are. You can explain why you like it, or you can just name drop the level you like most.

Mine are probably:

  1. Assault on The Control Room, I love the big epic set pieces of the level, and it has probably the best/most "examples" of what Halo is as a game than any other in CE. You have big weapons, vehicles, large open battles, and awesome music.

  2. Delta Halo from Halo 2. I love the lush jungle setting and going through the underwater elevator is always fun. Plus I love just beating the hell out of Truth.

  3. Halo, from Halo 3. Like Assault on The Control Room, this level has it all

If it's at all possible. I just find it kind of annoying to have to scroll through super long posts just to get to the comments. Review threads for newly released games in some of the gaming communities are what prompted this idea lol.

Edit: what the hell is going on with that account that keeps spamming nonsense?

So I like to use Xbox controllers (doesn't matter if it's first- or third-party) because I like the layout, it's just comfortable to me. However I've noticed that on all my controllers in the past few years, the left thumb stick will start to "give out" over the course of a couple months. For instance I'll be pushing it forward all the way, but it won't register for some reason and my character will only move a little bit. Sometimes wiggling it a bit will fix it, sometimes it doesn't. And it's not like I'm squeezing the hell out of the controller or mashing the stick constantly; in fact it's made me try to be more delicate with my controllers, even though I'm just playing the games normally.

Is it just how controllers are, or am I just getting the shit end of the stick?

Like, I travel around for work and I've met plenty of people from all backgrounds.

Why is there a demographic of people who don't seemingly bathe regularly, or at the very least wear something to cover up their BO? I could understand if it's an allergy, or even religious reasons (though the people I've met that smell bad are usually you're average American young adult man) but recently (like in the past week, recently) I've met a concerning number of people who don't seem to wear any kind of deodorant or possibly don't even bathe regularly; it's starting to become an issue for me, as I don't even want to interact with them when I can smell them walking up from 3+ feet away yet I need to for work.

Does anyone have any possible insight?
