They didn't miss. The US government will think twice about appointing a president half of the country wants dead. Power fear chaos and unrest among people, they want to have everything in control under their eye.

The government spend billions on propaganda and all the most popular media are private owned. They are able to spin the narrative and manipulate public opinion as much as they want.
George Dubya Bush and Trump were.
Trump is about to implement Project 2025, which will make the rich people in the USA so goddamn wealthy it will make your head spin. The middle class will be gone and all that money transferred up. Why would they not want Trump?
Billionares are so rich already that trying to visualize their wealth will indeed make your head spin. The middle class died decades ago. They may not want Trump because the majority of people already live in poverty and they are just waiting to turn into an angry mob
