Yes they were. They were corporatist, and exercised significant control on the economy.
So you are actually equating a central authority with political left! That is very interesting to see how far the liberal propaganda went to brainwash people.
I'm equating central planning with leftism yes. Because no one denies a free market is right-wing, so leftism must contradict that.

I like to think I have a bit of political knowledge seeing as I have watched hours of C-SPAN testimonies from the 90s, but I must just be at the peak of Dunning-Kruger
