There's no way Nintendo abandons the removable joycons. They're such an important part of the switch experience.

Literally all Nintendo needs to do is release essentially the same hardware format with increased computing power, better screen, and a bit more "robustness" in the hardware (the OG feels plasticy and flexes quite a lot).

They'd sell it probably as much as the original. Because BOTW and TOTK deserve higher graphical output.

The Switch Lite doesn’t have removable controllers. So yes way they already did.

They did as a side product, but that's not at all the same thing as dropping the concept entirely.

Nintendo abandoned the dual screen, and that was an incredible feature, I totally see them abandoning removable controllers

Tbf, they tried dual screen with a console and it flopped (for various reasons). With the switch acting as both a console and handheld device, I can see why they dropped dual screens.

Neither the DS nor the 3DS flopped, on the contrary. the DS was the most sold console in the world

And it gave us new experiences, new ways to play and also made some stuff better (like having extra info, like maps, information or access to the inventory, having that meant you didn't need to pause the game)

I believe by dual screen + console + flop they meant the dual screen setup the Wii U had.

For sure, I’m not saying the DSs flopped. But with Nintendo dropping a dedicated handheld line, I can see one of the main features of that handheld line went with it, especially when that feature was unsuccessful in a console format.

Dual screen was a great feature with a handheld with two tiny screens. They tried it with WiiU on the home console and it was a massive failure. The Switch maybe doesn't have dual screens, but the single screen is bigger than even the 3ds screens combined and they managed to port almost all WiiU exclusives to it with minimum loss of functionality.

Maybe the revolutionary feature was the added screen real estate the dual screens allowed for instead of there just being two screens.
