I have a history about this, it's not mine, it's from a friend.

She has been struggling with gender dysphoria since her early 10s and her mother was pretty distant and careless about her mental health, so when she was around 13-14 she made a medical appointment for psychology. She explained her that she was struggling with all of this and made her feel confused and she had other problems on top of her dysphoria (body dysmorphia, eating disorders and self-worth issues).
The maniac told her that this would ruin the life of her family and she should commit suicide so they don't have to go through all of this. Imagine how sick and devoid of empathy you have to be to say that in front of a struggling teenager.
This marked her so much that she's 19 now and she absolutely refuses to go to a therapist again, I've told her that she should try it but she still doesn't wanna do it, so she haven't had professional help in a long time.
