As someone that identifies as a Mormon now after a fantastic ritualistic shaming session after being invited to a Mormon church because the neighborhood has noticed I'm drinking again, I must say I am offended by the dual implications of this post.

On one hand, I believe in polyamory. People are not possessions and we should love each other equally to form polycules of all gender combinations and permutations to achieve what Jesus Christ gave his life to give us. On the other hand, I feel that if I could not get on my knees to love some black men and bring them into the Mormon Church, then I have failed our prophet, Joseph Smith.

While I'm aware how this may seem funny satire, I am 100% serious. I am forming Mormon Occultism and teaching this as what our Father wanted us to be on this Earth, and I guarantee my congregation will be more diverse than the one I was shamed at. Wonderful people though. Don't know the sword they're wielding, being in semblance dharma. They ain't The Sound of Gravel, but they ain't all there in the Jesus department. So, I'll be as audacious as our lord was.

Speaking as an ex-Mormon? Dude, you need therapy.

Speaking as someone who gets continuously harassed by the intolerant, prejudiced members of society because I am different than them, stop calling me a n*gger, please and thank you. I love you. I'm by default subhuman in your eyes. Your default response to me is, as I've heard it a thousand, billion times before, because I'm a disabled person:

"Dude, respectfully, you are an inferior, subhuman mongrel that is upsetting me in my doomscrolling. Please take the medicication you're already taking and go see professional who won't meet woth you because the medical industry believes cutting you off from therapy is best for you. I don't care about your specific suffering, you make my experience on social media worse, therefore I, like thousands and billions of others, are going to make your experience worse by goading you into submission."

Like, fuck you. Just straight up fuck you. You are the billionth person to say I'm an inferior human being because I'm schizoaffective n autistic with PTSD. I'm ALWAYS a n*gger in YOUR eyes, by how you treat me.

ALL of you idolaters say the same things. Devoid of actual love. I'm a problem in your eyes, BY DEFAULT. Meet me halfway here. What does that look like to you? I want to see what you think "meeting me halfway" is.

nobody called you the N word, you called yourself. do you have a humuliation kink? because alot of religious nuts have it. you need actual therapy and not religion.

[-] Reborn_Mormon@lemmy.world 1 points 1 month ago

Yea, no one's saying the n-word directly. I just have to use the back door as a second class citizen here on lemmy, the innately inferior religious nut. Gotta cut my flesh off to meet your standards.

Have to be less what I innately am to meet your standards massa

You're the only one calling yourself that.

You're just a projection machine on overload. Dude, seek therapy please.

Schizoaffective disorder is a helluva drug, I guess

I was raised in the church. I read church history for years, and spent my entire childhood having the dogma and apologia drilled into me until I could recite entire passages from rote memory. Every argument and counterargument. Every reason to never question the ones in charge.

It was never about horses, elephants, steel bows, and stones in hats. It was never about Smith's running list of legal problems and narcissism. It was never about Brigham Young giving a very enthusiastic green light on ethnic cleansing and genocide.

It was always about defending the lie that all of that was true, that all of it was done with good intent. That all of it was sanctioned by God himself by his living mouthpiece.

It was always about money, control, and keeping people in line. And you deserve so much better than to be exploited like that. You deserve to be happy.

I was raised secularly and wound up having a breakdown in college where I told my ROTC cadre that my nonexistent sister got me pregnant because I judged my father's wrath more of a threat than the US military.

If I had a spiritual community, all would have been well in my life.

I went to a Mormon church recently. I had an experience similar to the main character in Office Space watching the therapist having a heart attack in front of him has, where they showed they cared but half-assed it, fumbling the ball completely, and it made me realize, when they tried shaming me and cross-talking me, that this was LITERALLY the best they can do.

They were/are in Semblance Dharma. This is a term from Mahayana Buddhism, along with True and Degenerate Dharma. The Sound of Gravel is Degenerate Dharma; a preacher preaching hate has lost Jesus from Jesus' spiritual teachings. Semblance Dharma gets the surface of truth, but True Dharma is able to replicate the depth of wisdom contained in a great teacher's pedagogy.

Buddhism likewise has been subject to decay, y'see? But the church I went to did so much right. I think it wiser to fix what is broken than to start anew, now. I already have my "cult," which is my educational art project. I teach philosophy, spirituality, and mental health skills to help people heal and self-actualize. Now I realize I must be the founder of Mormon Occultism to be the left hand of God - while the right hand leads the flock on the path, the left hand goes into the tall grass and helps those who are very lost - and I believe this will fix all that you know in your heart is wrong.
