Went out to thrift shops to look for more tops and jeans, and found a pair of stretchy jeans that fit me nicely, as well as some pink sport shorts I can wear around the house.
The leaf leggings are my spouse's, shes a bit of a pothead when it comes to clothes lol
I don't have a mirror at home to get a full view of myself, so this is the first time I'm seeing the full view all at once of myself in full girlmode. My mirrors at home are all too small or fixed to walls lmao
The jeans:
I've tried on all the clothes from the thrift stores and they almost all fit, now once they get washed I'll have more things to wear! I'm still on the lookout for a bra my size (I'm not shopping at big box stores where possible, and I don't get thrift store undergarments) holy shit I knew it was bad for cis women who are well-endowed, but just finding my band size WITHOUT the F cups is proving quite difficult... I may have to order online. I should have bought from leolines but they're so expensive and I already spent over $50 on them this month...
Good store though, I asked them to put a small paper with "happy birthday Courtney" on it since it should arrive around then, and they were quick to respond, and quickly figured out my preferred name isn't what the order is under. 10/10.
Someone was trying to get past me while I was browsing and said "excuse me ma'am" and I have never wanted to cry more in my whole life. I didn't say anything since I'm very very early in voice training, just tried to do a high-pitched "mhmm" and stepped aside. I had to sit in the fitting room for a few minutes to collect myself.
I had to change into sweats and a t-shirt to get back into the house, but I'm still riding my high from earlier!
Next time I go out I think I want to wear a skirt but the tights I bought to cover my legs got a rip in them thanks to a park bench I sat on last week :(
I'm too self conscious to not wear something covering my legs though, especially since I'm still trying to figure out consistent hair control. I'd like to try waxing but since I want to do a FULL waxing, I need a Trans-friendly place to do it, or someone who knows what theyre doing at home.
Maybe soon I'll get brave enough to wear a sundress!
If your epilator is waterproof, use it in either the shower or bath, so long as your skin is hot and wet. It softens the skin some and helps loosen your pores so it hurts marginally less and gives a better result. You can also do it immediately after you shower as well if it's not waterproof. I would also recommend looking up dry brushing as a form of exfoliation. No one time use consumables that way. Sugaring or epilating results in a decent number of ingrowns if I don't exfoliate for the next few days afterwards.
When it comes to waxing, I suggest you try sugaring as well, it exfoliates the skin as well as removing the hair and you can make it at home with only a few basic ingredients. It just takes to practice to get the technique down to use unlike hard or soft wax, which are both mostly just slap it on with the grain, peel it off against the grain.
It claims to be waterproof, but I wouldn't trust it to get wet, it feels fairly "not sealed" if that makes sense. Things with decent waterproofing tend to feel more solid with all the seals and things.
I might be able to get it to work in the shower if i am careful to keep water away from it. Honestly I should have just forked up the extra money to get a halfway decent one... That's on me.
I've heard of "sugaring" but never looked into it. It sounds messy.
My partner's wax kit is a hard wax kit that I've used on them a handful of times. It's easy to come off the skin when it cools, but at this point I would have to wait like 2 weeks to have enough hair to use it... I just am a bit of a whimp when it comes to voluntary pain. I can deal with literally being stabbed until I get to a hospital, but start pulling my arm hairs and I'll cry... Pain is weird lol
I'm still getting a skin care routine figured out, But I'm sure I will get the hang of it eventually. This is just the first time I've decided I'm going to stick to things long term...
So I haven't used an epilator but my shaving routine is pretty reliable, which is to forgo shaving cream and use the fancy mancy conditioner on the hairs you want to remove. Let sit for 30+ seconds then (if you're shaving, shave) (if you're using and epilator, I don't know) (if you have to have a dry clean surface or whatever, rinse the conditioner out but the hairs will be soft and cuttable)
NOTE I don't have a clue what I'm talking about but it works for my stink holes (armpits)
