Yeah no, my opinion is based on work I had access to in the line of internet censorship handling as someone working in an ISP. They had pretty compelling reasoning related to how this fuels the tendencies of pedo towards actually fulfilling their deviance. You can read about that online, there’s a lot of supporting evidence of such a link. Also it is such a weird hill to die on…

I would like to see the evidence, since this argument of "Watching X causes X" or "Playing videogames with X causes X" comes up again and again and is debunked every time serious research was done into it. It would be very surprising to me if this one was somehow an exception. But if there is good evidence of causation (not just correlation) then I can be surprised.
