Created as an evolution of White People Twitter and other tweet-capture subreddits.

If you recognize something is morally wrong it's fucking weird to carve out arbitrary exceptions.
*Oh weird, the people who don't think it's wrong to hurt animals are upset by the idea that vegans see hurting animals as wrong. If you actually think something is morally wrong you would find the hypocrisy to be offensive.
If you aren't vegan for the animals, then you aren't vegan. Most people think that "vegan" is a diet, and it isn't. This is unfortunate, but I think that vegans are partly to blame for this. I think that a lot of us believed that we could woo people over to our side with yummy food and avoid all of those awkward, uncomfortable conversations about animal abuse. The net result is that people's palates expanded to include more plant protein (which is good), but many of them quit being vegan because they had no compelling rationale to remain vegan (which is bad).

its none of our business why some individual or culture may or may not be complete 100% vegan by your standards. give yourself a break and stop judging others so harshly, youll feel better. things arent black and white morally wrong or right, especially the purchases of someone whos trying to do better. im a neurodivergent pan vegan arch linux user, i get it.

murder is wrong until you encounter hitler. ofc threres general ethical norms, but i was trying to express that reality is messy and nuance exists. that i dont think there are so many absolutes.
Murder isn't categorically wrong. Some things are. Rape is always wrong, there's no situation where it's ok to do it.
Were talking about buying groceries, not rape.
And a rapist would similarly downplay their crimes.
