If people start ambushing and wiping out ICE teams, my reaction is going to be “about fucking time”
A lot of them don't wear radios. If they get separated they're screwed.
If ICE agents started disappearing you'd get a lot fewer volunteers. Bovino's outside in range of so many buildings pretty often. Would just take a dedicated few to send a message.
What they want for their civil war is a character they can point to as a central villain to polarize "the enemy" around; if agents get picked off and no one gets caught, they don't have the character they need for the story they want to tell.
And honestly, if you're against what I'm saying, consider that the only way the cops will arrest the murderers from this afternoon is if they fear retribution. Have the cops arrest those ice agents for the "safety" of those ice agents.

Grounds a bit frozen this time of year.
I'm frankly shocked there aren't more agents getting frostbite mixed with piss. Couldn't think of a more appropriate fate than a pedo protection force agent losing their trigger finger to a piss balloon.
Minnesota is full of lakes. Cut an oversized ice fishing hole, and a lot of problems could sink away.

A lot of them sleep in campers on private property, must be a miserable life already.
The worst part about it has to be the signing bonus scheme.
As I understand it, they get the sum right away, probably blow it all on lifting their trucks and stupid shit, and then they're committed for 5 years. For every year they break contract early they owe 10k, so even if they have a change of heart, they're stuck in hell.
Campers have small windows and malleable exteriors. It’d be a shame if someone boarded up the door and then something happened to the camper.
The gennys on those things could be faulty and fill the thing with CO.
Hoooking them up and dragging them to the middle of nowhere would be better though.
