funnily enough, I only put the alt text in the description since I didn't see somewhere to put alt text in my Piefed client, Blorp. Now I know that's actually the preferred way.
Well, the prefered way is to do both, since screen readers work better with the alt text way.
We usually put it in the square brackets of the image and then copy the text into the body of the post too.
I’m the Blorp dev. I need to add support for adding alt text. My bad. Would also be cool to allow users that aren’t on a screenreader to view alt text. But I would have to think of the best way to make that work.

The work you've done on Blorp is really good. It's my favourite UI for accessing the Threadiverse. I used Voyager for a while, but I when I tried bloorp, it was just better. One thing that Bloorp does that the Piefed UI did not do last time I tried was the ability to upload images in comments, so you're doing pretty well there.
Thanks! Lol, I have the same reaction when PieFed devs reply to my messages. Or the server admins. I am just a guy that wanted to pitch in where I can.
