What's misleading about it?

The product came from Canada.

The "beer" is in quotation marks, indicating that it wasn't actually beer.

A 21-year-old was killed.

In New Zealand.

It says Canadian beer killed him. The contents which were not beer is what killed him. Should have said something like drugs killed teen that were smuggled and stored in a Canadian beer can.

Further, 'Molson Canadian' is a brand of beer, usually referred to as 'Canadian', leading to more confusion.

No, it says Canadian "beer" killed him. It's an immediate signal that it wasn't actually beer.
