And of course Liverpool pronounced live-a contains the Liver Building. Pronounced Live-er
Makes total sense.
The city is pronounced liver, rhymes with river. Source - I live there. It's confusing, as the building is indeed pronounced differently.
Those things are actually pronounced the same in most British accents.
You do know that "live" is pronounced two different ways, right?
