Hi, I just want to kindly ask what hygiene products to use? Preferably european and cheap, don't care if they are advertising it to men, women, or like unisex or whatever just would like something that works. Idk where to ask, just I as a kid I kinda neglected hygiene and would like some recommendations, also this Philips oneblade was honestly worth buying for me, kinda expansive but worth it :3

Yeah, I have short hair, fluffy dense and kinda dry. Since I am growing it, it is starting to curl a bit in the ends. I found this conditioner in Müller 6.50€ was.

idk if there’s a good lemmy community for it yet, but i use the curly girl methods. there’s a pretty good scanner for products, but i can’t vouch for functionality outside the US.

deffo look up “squish to condish”, that’s essential. try “co-washing”, but if you don’t like the results then don’t even worry, that one isn’t a catch-all.

i hate to point people towards reddit, but that’s where i got most of my initial direction. they’ve got a very well established CG community. the basic advice is: find someone who looks like you want to, and follow whatever their routine is.

personally i use almost exclusively SheaMoisture products. they’re kinda pricy, but you can water the conditioner down to like 50/50, so it kinda works out.

also if you have thick hair, unfortunately you’re just gonna have to use more product. i was told “keep adding conditioner until it feels like you’re handling a bunch of worms”

I have thick curly hair and back when i kept it long i would wash out the conditioner by submerging my head underwater and shaking it loose. Then shake off like a dog and lie facing the ceiling with my head hanging off the end of the bed until it drip/air dried. It gave me volume and neat little ringlets. Of course I was convinced I was a boy so I didn't necessarily appreciate it as much as I should have.
