In a lot of areas, two incomes per household is the only thing that keeps it a household. There is no need for propaganda.

Only because of the world wars normalizing full employment. Before then only the most poverty level households required two incomes and even then it wasn't universal

The propaganda is what has normalized it in your mind. The last 3 generations proves what happens when you let kids raise themselves

No, it's because late stage capitalism requires prices to go up all the time, while salaries stagnate. People are spending way more of their income on housing these days, and even with two incomes they're living paycheck to paycheck. Why would anyone need to be propagandized? It's literally dual income or bust.
