My mom just concealed my existence, bribed government officials... etc... Not sure exactly what she did... So here I am, not dead. Wonder what the other timeline looks like... ๐ค

Also, the penalty was like a 5 digits amount of Yuan/RMB, I think it was like 15,000 Yuan or somthing, which was a lot of money back around the 2000s. They refused to issue my birth certificate until the fines are paid. So if my parents didn't pay it, I'd legally not exist (lol). There has probably a lot of legally non-existent people in China. They can't ride trains... because trains require ID. Like imagine being an "illegal immigrant" in your own country. Shits so fucked up.
The Chinese government is very powerful yet they seem to fear there own people the most.
