Recommended it to my friends, they were unimpressed.
It's one of the best games I've ever played. Maybe I'm old, cynical, coming from a D&D slash text adventure zork background, or I'm just drunk disaffected struggling with life and relationships but
The plot and dialogue choices are so intelligent. I constantly have to put down the steam deck in public because I'm laughing so hard.
Anyone else played this game?
No, of course not, it's lauded. I love it too, but it's a slow burn and most modern gamers don't have the attention span.
I mean, there are these 'top ten games that define you' threads on mastadon, nobody mentioned disco Elysium. Tons of obscure stuff, tons of triple A gaming company stuff but nobody talking about this game so I felt like it's kind of obscure. Very glad to hear other people have enjoyed it
