lol what is it with these journalists thinking Trump will give a shit about legality or studies or rational action or guidelines or investigations or… well… anything besides whatever the fuck he and his buddies feel like doing? I don’t get it. It’s obvious they’re ignoring all of the rules and guidelines. Why do so many journalists insists that the rules and guidelines are still meaningful in any fashion beyond “they used to matter, and now they don’t”?

underrated gif here, this is exactly the situation, Trump and his ilk belong to the ideology that power can and should be seized and that the people who seize it must deserve it, the only rules they live by are the ones they think will benefit themselves
The Democratic Party seems to suffer from the same problem. They're unable to see what's actually taking place here. It's like all the people who thought they could persuade Mr. Hitler to see reason and act responsibly.
