Sorry, I made the only decision I could. Every fucking day I listened to the stories and testimony coming out of Gaza. It was either vote against the genocide or do something much more drastic. I wouldn't have survived voting for genocide. I hung on because I chose to believe the Axis of Resistance could hang on and keep fighting until a ceasefire. And they did!
Instead of punching left at people who wouldn't vote for genocide, punch right at the transphobes that want to kill us. If you want to be mad at me, be mad at me. I can handle it. But you're gonna have to work with me if we're gonna get through this together.
It's much more simple than that. One can't help others until one can help oneself. A country can't help others until it can help itself.
Due to the outcome of the election, all of the United States of America and its territories have been kneecapped and set in a terrible direction that will result in Just. More. Death. There will be no helping others, no helping ourselves, no helping.
All death sucks, and now we have more to layer upon it.
We were trying to work together to stop the fascists but too many people like you let perfect be the enemy of the good. Now we can only hope that there will be something to save in four years.

This time around it's started with Palestinians, democrats acting helpless to stop the genocide (while actually arming it). It does not fill me with confidence that if LGBT people became a political liability that democrats wouldn't unite with the republicans on our extermination too.
Solidarity with the Palestinians or any marginalized group doesn't mean I have to allow bad things happen to everyone else.
We don't vote Democrat because they inspire us or we love them, we vote democrat as a form of overall harm reduction.

Paraphrasing, I said I don't consider my rights inside an imperial war machine to be worth sacrificing others for, even if they're on the other side of the planet. I didn't mean to imply that the genocide was ending as a result of that.
