Started progesterone about a week ago, started smelling strange slight smell every where I go... (self.asktransgender)

My doc just added it to me regumine, and I think a little after that I began smelling what I thought was a neighbor smoking. But its been mostly consisent no matter where I am ... Does anyone else experience something similar?

Hi!

I found this thread which seems related and a number of other threads and results, so it looks somewhat common. Perhaps you could talk to your GP about it?

Are you taking your prog orally? If so, you might not experience that symptom if you were to take your prog some other way, such as anally, through your skin, or through an injection. Oral prog gets broken down into a number of different substances and can have strange side effects whereas other routes mostly avoid this.
